I'm on vacation next week and was tossing around the idea of a sticker stop in Delaware. What would I need to start one?
Do I need to own a business or can I just post up in a parking lot? And how long would it take Washington to get a bunch of stickers to me?
It's kind of a last minute thing and I was wondering if there's enough time to set it up. I was thinking of setting up on the corner of Kirkwood Highway and Farrand Drive. There's a parking lot there that's adjacent to a Best Buy and a Tweeter.
Anybody have any info or tips?
Holy shit. You mean that someone else is choosing to spend their vacation in Delaware? Wow. I'll be in Newark by the afternoon/early eve of the 29th and could do a sticker stop in the morning of the 30th. If you can get stickers, PM me and we can set it up.

Not a native of The Diamond State, but I visit friends there often. If we can get one going while I'm there, I'm definitely in.

I like the Best Buy spot and was thinking the DP or Balloon just because of the demographics of the patrons. Best bets for potential O&A fans. I'm going to shoot an email to Ben. Let's all send another and maybe they'll realize there are more than 2 people in Delaware.

I don't doubt it. That place has gone to shit. It was once home to amazing bands like Love Seed, Mr. Greenjeans, Great Train Robbery, etc. Now it's home to the absolutely awful. I used to grab a beer there whenever I came back to Delaware to visit my boys. Now I avoid it like the plague. Come to think of it, the Deer Park has kind of gone south also, since they remodeled it.
Last time I was in Wilmington I went to The Barn Door. Wouldn't recommend it for a sticker stop for reasons obvious to the other Delawareans in this thread. 'Nuff said about that. :icon_wink

I'd like to do one in my town but I don't know if it's big enough or not. It's a medium sized city. They like to test things here, like resteraunts and products and stuff like that. Anyone think i got a shot.

I could probably swing the morning of the 31st, but the boys won't be on live that day. No good for the 27th and 28th, as I won't be in town yet.

What about an afternoon/evening sticker stop on the 29th? Too crazy? Could set up camp in the Best Buy parking lot and crank the replay out of car speakers.

I agree with khem. Looks like all three can't make it on the same day, so whatever works best for boss is good by me. Either way, I'll tell my Delaware friends to swing by and grab a WOW sticker.

They will mail you a "WoW Sticker Stop Kit" that consists of a shitload of stickers, possibly a few XM Hats and O&A T-Shirts... These come from NY, not DC... Give it some time and if they want you to do one, they'll contact you.. Also they usually like to do them on Wednesdays during "Wip'em Out Wednesday"... You need a good location and they'll create a commercial for your stop... I made my own WoW Sign, worked out well even though the weather sucked, also you must play the show from your stop! Let me know when you're doing it, i'm in Philly but I can always head to DE to see ya's...

Bach's afternoon/evening idea could mabye work for all of us. We may not get the promo on High Voltage but we could still spread the virus. That's also if Steve can get us some stickers. I was thinking of asking Best Buy if they maybe have a XM sign or banner hanging around. Or just making one to get some attention.

wow lots of fellow Delawareans on here too. Cool I thought maybe I was the only one. I have been an O&A fan since the days on WYSP in Philly.....which ended in 2002. Oh well....I wish I could help you guys out on your sticker stop....but I am going to be working. Also I requested a sticker when O&A first went on XM and I just got it the other day.....real slow down there in DC.

Steve said he'll send me some stickers and we can just spread them. We can do an UNofficial stop. Hopefully, if they're sent soon enough, Bach can get in on it with the rest of us in the area. If we can't get the stop going we can still just spread them around.
