I grew up hearing Jean Shepherd tell this story on WOR AM every year, as a kid. Now it's a tradition for my kids to watch this 1983 special at least twice during the night before and the day of Christmas. How many others have to watch the marathon?

Not even at gunpoint!

I'd rather listen to Fat and Fatter do their Elvis Tribute Show.

(and I hate Elvis too! :action-sm )

My stepdad & I introduced Mom to this movie last year... she ended up watching it over and over again that day. Even days afterwards she'd just suddenly say "fra-GEE-lay!" and start cackling.

It is on in the background throughout the day. Second greatest Christmas movie ever made.

I love that movie I watched it all day
I also liked the Thanksgiving one "It Runs in the Family"? even though it has that no talent actor in it who had the talk show for like three hours ( not Chevy Chase)

It's a tradition for me as well. Classic movie even after the 10th hour of watching it.

I make a habit of watching this movie around the holiday, as well as another classic-Christmas Vacation.

Yeah it is a classic for sure. Here is a gift idea for next year. What would be more classic than a big wooden box(Major Prize Inside!) arriving to someone's house for Christmas?
