this American translation of the BBC hit comedy hits NBC on March 22nd. It stars Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson. The claim is that the show will be faithful to it's anglo predessor, right down to the uneasy silences
The storyline takes place in Scranton, Pa.
Scranton??? Now I have to watch to see if they make references to local businesses, and if they do, laugh when they reference a really shitty place.
I hope they shoot footage there as well! I need a reason to laugh at my hometown again.:action-sm :action-sm :icon_lol:

I hope the show does well. If for no other reason than a success for Carrell will probably spin the wheels a little faster on the bg screen remake of GET SMART starring him. I don't know how I will feel about the movie, but that is perfect casting.

theyre gonna f this up scranton is a good pic because the english show takes place in like some shitty backwater of london, they did it to coupling and that was the absolute worst remake of a show ive ever seen

I only saw the first episode of Coupling and I found it pretty funny. That being said, I did not watch another episode, so I guess I could not have liked that much.
