I personally don't like the processing done on them in DC. Sounded like a different show to me.

That was my first thought when I heard them... then I heard them talk about it... but i guess that's to be expected when you are in a different studio...

Sound in Dc is bit Different sounds like they are running the mic audio through several audio proccessors but atleast the levels from the mics/ and cd audio is about the same.. But it sounds bit weird -- but they are at Geek COmplex...

I turned on the show today and LOVED the processing. Their voices sounded ten times better, without the compressed, tinny sound I've been used to. I was planning on sending an e-mail to Op all day about this. This is how the show should sound in NY. More bass, alot more full sound. It was perfect.

I think the show sounded great thanks to Himey!!! Himey should be moved to New York to work permanently with the guys, all expenses paid. They need him here!

I believe it spelled Jamie:action-sm It probably is, but in Patti's defense, that doesn't make sense.
That speeling sounds more like Jaymie.:icon_mrgr
Just going by the Hooked on Phonics spelling.

At first I didn't like the sound from DC but it grew on me.
It's Hispanic, therefore, it's spelled J-A-I-M-E. :)

The sound quality is definately better on this show.
XM needs to get this type of sound quality for NYC.

Hmm...here I come with an unpopular opinion. Maybe I'll have to listen more closely on the replay, but to me it sounded like the mikes weren't handling the levels when Ant was speaking louder. Sounded like it was gating out. Call me nuts, did anyone else notice this?
Punchin' the munchkin out.
PS: Still a great show! Just sounded different.

i kinda agree, i noticed that ant kinda sounded like hoo hoo the first few mins, but after that he sounded normal. so i like it now. much better than nyc.

It sounds a little more base-ey. I got used to it, and didn't even notice a difference after 15 minutes.
I don't care which audio processing they use. I mean it, I don't care.

Now that you mention it, when I turned the show on this morning I caught the end of something Ant was saying and thought it was a Hoo-hoo clip. His voice sounded really deep today.
[hoo-hoo] I invented bass(y) microphones, Robin. [/hoo-hoo]

when i first heard them this morning, they sounded like they were ultra mellow almost like they were trying to talk more reserved. Maybe it was bacause the levels were good and didn't have to yell into the mics. It was weird at first but I think it was definitely much more gooder.

To quote Brian Regan, the audio sounded "Shitty" to me. It sounded too tinny, but hey, these audio problems fix themselves rather quickly at XM, right?

When I first turned it on this morning Ant sounded really different. I forgot that they were in D.C. so it seemed odd at first, but after about 15 mins it was okay. It sounds much better than NYC except for the bass on Ant's mic.
It proves that they (the techs) can make an improvement to the NY show.

When I first listened, I definitely noticed the difference - it sounded like a different show to me all together. However, after listening to it in the car with the FM Modulator - I changed my mind on how it sounded. It seemed to be way too tinny to me. I actually kinda like having everyone on different levels when they are in NY - it seems more like "guys hanging around a room" rather than "radio guys in a studio"... and that's one of the great things about the show - that 'boy's club feeling'
