...was pretty much a joke in Columbus when he was at Ohio State. He actually got beat down by a teammate after making smart ass racial jokes, then sued for $2 million because his broken nose supposedly led to a hip injury. So much for paybacks on the field or whatever he was joking about last week.

And what exactly does this contribute to anything? So in college there was an altercation and a lawsuit....it's not like Ohio State is some bastion of perfection in terms of law and sports.

Again, I ask for relevance

Oh, and welcome to the board.

Well I guess he's making a few million more than you playing in the NFL.

Relevance: segment on Friday based on Tyson's stories of cool on-field paybacks. Slightly hypocritical that he had to go to court for his "payback".

Relevance: "tough" football player that Opie is trotting around the country was a joke to his teammates and couldn't stand behind his words

Relevance: Anthony has gone on and on talking about ridiculous lawsuits, particularly in divorces, and their new "buddy" sues someone for $2 million because his broken nose somehow led to a hip injury.

Relevance: the guy isn't cool and just needs to go away

Good enough? Or should we just concentrate on talking about Lil' Jimmy's farts or Steve's hair?

I am not a doctor, so I cannot comment on the medical portion of the suit. But, assuming it is "legit," what is the big deal? The guy punched him and caused an injury. That injury caused him to miss a full season in college, which would have had a severe impact on his draft position (all injuries do), which translates to major money.

Get over it. He isn't on everyday, quit bitching.

He ended up getting $6,000 to cover the doctor bills. He has promise as a second stringer only hampered by injuries. I am sure he has moved on from all of that stuff, shit happens. Live and Learn.

A valid point

Relevance: "tough" football player that Opie is trotting around the country was a joke to his teammates and couldn't stand behind his words

Just because he didn't do the right thing in your mind on the football field doesn't mean he's not 'worthy' of being a friend to anyone.

Your opinion is obviously not Opie's opinion. And you're basing this conclusion on one incident. Perhaps there is more to the story about how they met or what they talk about or whatever, that is reason enough for him to be a 'friend of the show'.

Didn't Opie said he met him after one of Jimmy's shows in Dallas and was tuned on to the show from buddies at Ohio St.? Thus a guy in the NFL that is a fan of the show and friend to now Opie and the show.

Its not like hes the worst person they have ever had in the studio. Whats the big deal? The way I see it he's a fan that happens the be in the NFL, so I'm sure he has a perspective and some stories that others may find interesting...

Lets just get to the heart of the story. The only reason Opie brought him to D.C. is so that the guy from the Bone Yard wouldn't beat him up. We all know that. so get your story straight.

Who the fuck cares?

I'm sure if we tried hard enough we could find something pussified about every person in the fucking world. At the end of the day, who cares?

We're all human. We all make mistakes. And most of all, we're all greedy.

It's part of being human.

Personally, I wouldn't care if he fucked the punter during the off-season. He's Op's pal and he's going to be on the show sometimes. I can deal with that. Why can't you?

Is there some fan-guest approval of which I am not aware?

What's that saying...

"opinions are like assholes. everybody has one, and they all stink."

Opie just need someone to carry his Java Logs.
Tysen has that big heavy suitcase.
They had dinner together at the train station.
It all makes sense...except for the Scores credit card thing.

So, this guy made racial remarks and made some money.

Meanwhile, one of the most lauded guests of the show SHOT FOUR BLACK MEN.

Be he shot them because he thought they were robbing him, he didn't shoot them because they are black. If you want disgusting guests, Bob Kelly ***** a retarded girl. Beat that!
