That blow up made me late for work today. I couldn't leave the house because I was afraid I'd miss part of it. The staff should carry around diaper bags with chilled bottles of milk, juice, and a ziplock baggy of cheerios. If they have any studio footage, they can fill an album with stillshots for the next time E Lo shows his Jackson pics.
Eat your cereal pookie!

that was definately the highlight of the show today. On another note, I don't know anyone who isn't diabetic who reacts like that to blood sugar levels. Even a bowl of oatmeal should hold someone over for a few hours.

TREATMENT:
An absolute must: eliminate all concentrated carbohydrates as refined sugars, etc., and even all natural sugars until the condition is under control. No food or drink containing caffeine can be allowed. The combination of refined sugar and caffeine is particularly devastating and cannot be tolerated. Efforts must also be made to reduce or eliminate all stress and in particular emotional stress. The diet must be natural, fresh and at least 50 percent raw. It should consist of meat, fish, eggs, cheese, fowl, and wild game if desired. Fresh vegetables, especially organically-grown and raw, are most desirable. Eat three meals a day with a protein snack between meals. This really adds up to six meals a day, each one about medium in amount with no overeating at any time. The hypoglycemic must have food every two hours during the waking day. Concentrated natural supplements are essential in all cases, especially raw glandular extracts.
Where do I send my bill?

I have it, and panick just like he does. It sucks when the food gets there late, takes me almost 2 days to fully recover when my schedule gets knocked off.

If he gives up caffeine might as well just give up on morning radio.

Scary stuff, I'm borderline diabetic. If I'm careful I think I can avoid getting it, although almost nobody in my family has avoided it.

I do. Not diabetic. Not hypoglycemic either, or so they say, but I question that.
I carry a granola bar with me at all times just in case.

Opie also pronounces it "melk". Just another Opie-ism for the list.

I find that getting laid periodically offsets the blood-sugar mood swings...
Or maybe he should just eat some fruit.

opie's hypochondriac bullshit is really getting old... ocd this, ocd that, blood sugar even though he was tested and isnt diabetic... all a method for getting attentionIt's not bullshit. The same thing happens to me sometimes too. (although not as often) I'm not diabetic or hypoglycemic but sometimes, for whatever reason, I'll just get real light headed and feel really weird until I eat something. I assume it was blood sugar levels too. I know exactly what he feels.

Opie, Anthony, and Jim share a lot of this on the air so people do know about them. I don't think he's a hypochondriac, he was sick once and his body is still adjusting to waking up early but he doesn't constantly think he's sick or anything. Waking up at 4 in the morning in the dead of winter is enough to make anyone feel like shit.

I have done some hardcore dieting in the past, dropping 130 pounds in 9 months. Opie has said that he eats small meals constantly throughout the day. Just speaking from my own experience this will keep your metabolism higher but it forces you to maintain a delicate balance with your blood sugar, if this gets screwed up you tend to binge and then crash as your metabolism drops when your body tries to digest all that food.
It really does screw with your mind too, you know you should be fine but your body is used to something different and you get cranky, maybe not as bad as Opie but you can feel it.

I'm a diabetic and I've never freaked out like that cause my sugar went low. Then again I don't get them very often. Opie may have hypoglycemia if his sugar is really getting low. Here are some of the symptoms from http://www.hypoglycemia.org (http://www.hypoglycemia.org/)
Some of the symptoms of hypoglycemia are:
fatigue
insomnia
mental confusion
nervousness
mood swings
faintness
headaches
depression
phobias
heart palpitations
a craving for sweets
cold hands and feet
forgetfulness
dizziness
blurred vision
inner trembling
outbursts of temper
sudden hunger
allergies
crying spells
peckerhead

My Ex-wife had low blood sugar and it got to the point at the end of our shit I would carry crackers ( nabs for you southerners ) to feed her. I dealt with that but I do not want to deal with that in my entertainment. Opie should buck the fuck up and deal. :action-sm
I used to get like that if I didn't eat. But I started doing low carbs and feel soo much better. Try to cut out the cereal, poptarts and all the crap and maybe he'd feel more level. Works for me, no more headaches, dizziness or lightheadedness. Could be that simple. But then it does make for good radio. Hmmmm....
