I bought call of duty game of the year edition today and cant install it because the second cd has a mark on it that will not come off.


do you think they would exchange it for another copy?

yeah i know its my cd because i installed my friends (but i need a cdkey to be online)

its like a finger print thats melted on there

It all depends on the warranty. I would go to the store you bought it and ask for a replacement.

Or send it to the manufacturer to get a replacement the games usually have a warranty too.
If you still have the reciept, try taking it back to where you bought it, most stores have a replacement policy for defective merchandise. If you bought it with a credit card, do the same thing, most store have a record of your purchase and might honor your replacement request.

i got Unreal Tournament 2004 (The DVD edition) a few months back and it was missing the reg key. the exchanged copy was missing it too. so i got the CD-ROM edition and it wouldn't install. so i just skipped it and missed out on the frag fun. DAMN!

I just bought it today from walmart and still have the receipt

as far as i know you can return it to walmart for an exchange only not a refund once its opened.

ask to speak to a manager and calmly explain the situation. its your best shot, dont even bother with the person @ the register. I once bought a pc game(forgot the title) and i returned it cause i didnt like the game-spoke to the store manager and got my money back. i think it was at best buy or circuit city. everything is returnable-everything.
