that info has changed. i posted on a previous page with the current you have to make it on a server you currently have a level 55 on.

It depends on how you start. If you start with a friend who almost immediately leaves you in the cold (like my friend did), it will be a long time before you get to end game stuff, level cap or not. Especially if you make the mistake of rolling on a dead ass server.

With the right mod and few basic resources, most anyone can level to 70 with little trouble. Ive barely started on LK content, though, so I cant speak for the grind to 80 yet. The QuestHelper mod is a great place to start, plus wowhead and thottbot are your friends. Also, Im sure if you look around a bit you can find a whole torrent of information, such as the really fancy leveling guides that are out there for horde and alliance. A shame that the guides creators want money for them, though.

Plus with the new refer-a-friend program, its insanely easy to level to 60. 60-80 will take longer than 1-60 will now, easily.

What I meant was that there are always gonna be high level characters and that pretty much any point past right before BC came out was too late to hop in and just enjoy end game stuff. People should still join in and work thru the levels like we all did. It's a fun game no matter what level you are and the end game stuff will be a nice reward once u get there.

The trick with refer a friend is you have to play WITH that person, on the same server and side, and level together. Basically, find someone wanting to roll a new character, or someone just starting out, and play with them. The triple XP bonus only applies when youre grouped, close together, and within a certain number of levels from each other.

Yea Blizzard amazes me with handing out Beta Invites to all the elite guilds and letting them create walkthroughs for all the raids so they can post them and teach everyone else how to beat them. Then the same pikes always turn around and bash Blizzard about how easy and lame their game is and how they beat the whole expansion at lvl 68 still wearing their BC gear.
Blizzard is so afraid of losing people like this that they listen to every word they say and wind up fucking over average players. Now since all these fucks whined in BC how their Naxx gear was replaced in 2 levels the gear in WOTLK sucks ass. At 75 now and Still havent got one upgrade yet.

I've been leveling my human DK slowly but surely. He's only at 64 because I don't have much time right now. But I'm loving the DK. It makes leveling so much easier to be able to kill quick and still have the survivability to take on elites your level or a level higher by yourself.

Guild has been going pretty hardcore. naxx/sarth/maly cleared early on. Got sarth with 2 drakes up so far, i think they are going for it with all 3 up this week. I got crushed with work/gf aggro, but now im getting back into the lvl 80 stuff.

I have been impressed nonetheless. Some of the encounters in the 5mans are great, and some of the quests really feel epic. Icecrown is straight up badass.

But because there wasn't ridiculous exp jumps needed to level the higher you went, the last few levels seemed really fast. All in all it was a hell of a lot easier then 60-70 originally was but it still takes dedicated questing. Something I hate doing.

I jumped into a group for Heroic Viloet Hold and we got all the way to the end boss then wiped. I was astonished I was able to heal them that far in what is mostly my old level 70 epics.

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly why. Malygos is probably the hardest to learn, and Sartharion with 2 and 3 drakes up isn't super easy either.

Apparently when Ulduar comes out in 3.1 it's going to be way harder than everything else so far.
