msconfig, you'll have to download the version for windows XP: http://www.perfectdrivers.com/howto/msconfig.html
Here's a list of startup files:

SysInternals offers many handy utilities, including a similar startup tool called Autoruns (http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/autoruns.shtml) which will allow you to edit each users startup programs without logging into their accounts. As a technician I find it handy as it gives the full location of the file where MSconfig doesn't always.
2000 rocks, it's the source of XP.

I've used XP's MSconfig on 2000 many times before without a problem. Did you try changing the font size in your web browser? (slashdot mentality) Visit Mozilla.org (http://www.mozilla.org) and download Firefox, MS is evil :icon_evil ! (/.)

Mozilla makes several web browsers, Mozilla Suite is essentially the full Netscape suite of old, but Firefox is just a browser. Thunderbird is the sibling of Firefox for email and RSS feeds.
Simply put, Firefox isn't nearly as vunerable to malware, and the Mozilla Suite is also more secure than IE. MS f'd up design wise on purpose years ago by building IE into Windows to avoid the Justice Department from forcing IE's removal.
Phone Support: Also, did you try to reboot? Call us back when Windows is back up!
Caller: But it will only take a sec...
