Who can really say for sure? Is this the right time to start taking bets finally?

(FYI: In the short-lived SOA death pool, I was, like, the leader.)

I think he's been dead since the last illness, and they have look-alikes subbing for him until they can find a real replacement. Grassy knoll, anyone?

Saddam had doubles, no doubt the pope does too. Maybe even robotic ones.

You're all aware of what happened to the Pope that preceeded this one, right? John Paul the First. Two attempts at death by poisoning, the second one being successful. In office for 33 days. Was somewhat supportive of Communism and did believe that it could coexist with our way of life.

«At the Vatican’s insistence (at the insistence of the gangster then in command at the Vatican), no blood was drained from the body, neither were any organs removed. Injections of formalin and other preserving chemicals were made into the body through the femoral arterial and vein passages. The entire process took over three hours. The reason the process took so long was because, contrary to normal practice when the blood is drained or cleared with a solution of salt water that is circulated around the body, the Vatican (the gangster) was adamant that no blood should be drawn off.» The gangster being Cardinal Villot (fucking dickbeater religion-perversing piece of shit)

He's been dying slowly for many years now. So enjoyable, becoming a prisoner in your own body. But now all things must come to an end.

No disrespect to Catholics intended but enough is enough with the television coverage. I really don't care and I think the rest of America does not care to see this on the news all the time.

Are you kidding? A lot of Americans care.... a lot. There are plenty of Catholics out there.

I'll correct my last comment, I don't care and I should not speak for anyone but myself.

I could not possibly care less either, but there are definitely many that do.

If you think that's too much coverage, just wait until they start the Conclave. Days and days of waiting for white smoke to billow.

I don't understand...why was the Vatican so adament about not draining any of his blood?

Why would he? They are protestants!
I for one am a catholic, devout in theory, but not in practice, partially due to my work, more due to my Catholic High School education that taught me it was ok. to worship God in churches that were not traditional. I still pray and say the rosary once in a while, especially before a meet.

To answer the original question more directly:

(hope that doesn't offend anyone)

Not me, his suffering should end.
