Congrats on your new job Sherwood. I hope you like it hon.
I love love LOVE roller coasters, and yet I haven't been on one in ages. I could ride those friggin' things all day long. I've always wanted to go to Cedar Point because I've heard so much about the amazing coasters they have there, but have yet to make it. Maybe I'll try to roadtrip there this summer.

Strange coincidence, I'm moving to CO. in the next week so I'll be gone for that time here on wackbag. I'll be back soon though, I'll be packing for the next couple of days if you dont hear from me. Paper signing for the new place is the 12 so it leaves me scrambling like a maniac to get all my shit outta here then drive out there. Woo Hoo should be fun :icon_roll
Good luck with the move, Nug. Post when you can.

CP rocks I've had a season pass there every year since i was like 9.
Good luck at it you'll have a blast.
edit: btw that place is beaver season all summer long if ya know what i mean. good huntin' grounds :) lol

They have a new ride this year. like the swinging ship, with a witches wheel instead of the ship and it goes all the way around. It's like 150 feet when it's at the top. Fuck that!! spinning rides make me sick

I ran Demon Drop and Wildcat in '92 & '93.
Those are the best summers I've ever had. I worked a lot of hours but had a blast doing it. The girl to guy ratio was around 5:1, happy hunting. The party scene was great too. Get a room in the cadars dorm. Those are the 2 bed units. If your buddy's your roommate you should be able to deck your room out. I didn't have that luxury and ended up with a smelly guy from Wales as a roommate. Speaking of the exchange program, there are always hot English and Eastern European chicks working there.
When I was working my ride, I got to meet Steve Harris ( He plays bass for Iron Maiden). I also got to see Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson.
It's definately a good time.
Have a blast!!

Do you know where you'll be working yet? If you're in Park Operations, Training week kicks ass. I got paid to ride Blue Streak (that's a roller coaster) for 4 hours straight. I also did over 30 consecutive drops on Demon Drop.
Keep your eyes open. You never know who you'll meet. None of the other idiots around us had a clue who Steve Harris was. I got an autograph and some moron asked me if he was famous.
The Cedar dorm is the red building behind the Wildcat. I think they put most of the exchange workers in the breakers.
Try not to get stuck on the walk of shame

When I was there, the walk of shame was the route between the Guys and Chicks dorms. At about 8 am, you could camp out and catch all the hung over slobs going back to thier rooms after doing shit they shouldn't been doing. Great to watch, shitty to experience.
Training week does rule. And as you're repeatedly riding kick ass rides, remember these two words: GETTING PAID!!!!!

It was definately a great experience. He's a great guy, humble and happy to meet a fan. I was surprised at how short he is, though. He's only about 5'5".
The one person who came out to the park often but I never met was Trent Reznor. That could have been cool.

im not really fond of the fact that theres 1 bathroom we all have to share, im alittle weird when it comes to shitting and showering when other people are around....
