Show Open
• Op says that there is a lot of confusion about the show, so they need to explain things. Ant says he was on the message board, and everyone doesn’t seem to get it. They say that so far everyone has had the privilege of paying to listen to them getting their act together, and now they are about to take the show to the next level – which includes getting off the premium, and changing the time slot to 7 to 11am. Op explains that the 6 a.m. hour will be replaced by a best of replays and that one of the benefits of this switch is that west coasters will be able to participate more. Ant talks about a post here on Wackbag, where someone posted that Op said that there would be no more replays (which he actually didn’t). Op explains that they will need to get rid of some of the replays (he thinks probably two will go away); because they want to add some more shows to the channel. Op also says he thinks they may add an on demand option online, where you could click and listen to the show whenever you want. Op says he got that suggestion from a listener, and he sent a letter to the XM president, Hugh Pinero.
• Op says they are adding maybe two shows to the channel and that people are sending suggestions for shows but they just stink.
• Caller – Dugout Doug. Op says talks about a post on a message board (I didn’t read this one here, so I’m assuming it’s not coming from Wackbag) that he read that talks about the fact that they don’t bring comedians on the show with enough time, e.g. Ben Bailey and Otto and George. Op explains why, and he says that people need to stop criticizing them because they know what they are doing.
http://img211.exs.cx/img211/819/whining1ap.jpg
He says that a lot of times for a first appearance they have to let comedians and guests kinda sit and soak up the atmosphere of the show.
• They talk about the Channel 7 morning show, and new clips that they have of the weatherman and anchor arguing again. (Here are pics of them - thanks to DougFromAZ in the listening thread – Steve (http://a.abclocal.go.com/images/wabc/new_bios_bartelstein_lg.jpg) and Bill (http://a.abclocal.go.com/images//wabc/new_bios_b_evans_lg.jpg)). They replay the audio from yesterday of Steve the anchor saying that Bill is in a weatherman for weathermen chat room. Then they play audio from today, when Steve brought a gift in for Bill, and another one with them talking about pictures that a listener sent in of the Bill. Ant says they just can’t wait for the on air blow up between them
• They go back to Dugout Doug, who suggests keeping a special instant feedback area for the regulars.
• Caller – says the facial expressions by the anchors are what makes the tension even more apparent
• Op says that Steve might be starting a new website soon, to accommodate the Flash animation that is being sent in using the show’s audio. Ant says the funniest clip of the day is a clip of a guy slapping a girl, and knocking her out.
• Caller – wants to know if the anchor buying a gift for the weatherman is the same as a producer buying a pinball machine for Opie (pretty good old school callback).
• “Sands through the hourglass” – Ricky the intern taking food orders.
Break
• Rich Vos joins them in studio, and says he can’t wait for Jimmy to blow up so he can get a cut. He also talks about the Park Hotel, where he had to say because no other hotels were available. Op says he say a girl fondling herself one time when he was staying there. Op retells the story of seeing an old lady stirring sauce in an old lady bathing suit. Vos talks about having sex in a hotel and having the people in the next room bang on the wall, and how hot it was.
• Caller – says he heard a couple in a room he was sleeping next to, and when he got the visual it was disappointing.
• Rich brings up the Poconos, and they talk about how horrible it is. Op says there is so much sex going on that the cleaning staff has given up on cleaning up the jizz, and the carpets are now the same color to camouflage it. Rich remembers staying there, around his divorce time and sitting in the heart shaped tubs spanking it and crying.
http://img47.exs.cx/img47/6569/h4dt.jpg
They talk about the champagne glass hot tubs that are there as well, and how horrible the food is. Ant also talks about a horrible comedian that he saw while he was there. He also says that the key to it is having a chick that has a sense of humor, because it can be really funny then.
• Caller – had to turn the radio off, because he is taking his wife there in two weeks and didn’t want her to hear the bad things.
• Ant says the remote control is the one thing you need to check, because that’s the first thing that people usually touch after sex.
• Caller – says his friend went to Mount Airy Lodge, and had bees in the room.
• Caller – talks about old people having sex. Ant says that when you are old and having sex it’s always weird, like on Real Sex. Op remembers one that he saw about old guys in a bear hug circle moaning.
• Caller – He says that he is hearing Jimmy on the morning show in Baltimore, and that Jimmy is killing. They ask him to hold on, and when the show comes back from break, they want to listen in to him live.
Break
• They go back to the caller, but the show Jimmy is on is not back from commercial break yet.
• Caller – says he used to work at Ballys in Atlantic City, and he heard a couple banging only 10 minutes after checking in. He also suggests a book called Hotel Babylon.
• Back to the Baltimore caller, but he is still waiting for the show to come back because they are doing traffic and weather. This reminds Op of a story about traffic being held up because a dog was running around. Vos tells a story about banging a hot girl in the hotel, and because he came quickly, he called the front desk to complain about roaches so that he could get half his money back. He also tells a story about this motel he went to, and because the girl finished him off before they got a room, he pretended that they were all sold out even though there wasn’t a car in the lot.
• Finally the show with Jimmy comes back on air, and the guy puts his phone so that they can hear it. Apparently they were told that the boys were listening, so they say hello to them. On the show, Jimmy is talking about his act, and about the XM show. They play the car crash and crickets over some of Jimmy’s interview. Jimmy also talks about his tranny story. They thank the caller for letting them listen, and Op says that was a friendly assault on the media. Ant says that they just killed time on their show, and maybe they should do that for the whole show. That gives Op an idea, have listeners call in with their awful morning shows so that they can listen in.
• Caller – talks about people complaining about seeing him and his wife having sex in the window.
• Caller – calls in with the Bearman show (who Op worked in when he started radio), but the show is in commercials.
• Op tells a hotel story about his sister brother in law and grandma, and hearing porn from another room.
• Caller – has audio from a show in New Hampshire that will be having Lenny from Motorhead (who was on the show in Las Vegas) will be on the show soon. Op says they want to listen to that.
• Track from Jimmy’s “Yellow Discipline” into break
Break
• They go back to the show from New Hampshire, to listen in on to them talking about news stories.
• Caller – calls in with Lon and Wally. Ant remembers his ex-mother in law and how she loved that show, and she would always be talking about it. Rich talks about him and Bonnie going on the “Monsters in the Morning” and almost being kicked off.
• They keep going to callers but it seems that each one is in commercials when they go to them.
• Caller – plays audio from one of the morning shows, with the hosts talking about donuts.
• Back to the New Hampshire show, with Lemmy from Motorhead on.
• Caller – “The Carlson and Mackenzie show” in Poughkeepsie – doing a bit about talking to Osama Bin laden.
• Caller – The Bearman show in Allentown PA – talking about the Spongebob Square pants tolerance video. Ant says he won’t say anything because it’s Op’s friend.
• Caller – “The Rod Ryan Show” – interviewing Louie Anderson. Ant starts doing Louie, and then they listen to the interview.
• Caller – “The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show” – Op says that they need to come up with a brand new wacky name now.
• Back to the show with Louie Anderson.
• Caller – “The Ethan and Omelet Show” – about having a guy on the highway with a dunce cap.
• Caller - (missed name) – talking to a woman caller
• Caller – “the Greasy Breakfast Morning Show”
• Caller – another morning shows I missed the name of, and they are talking about the dog story that the boys were talking about earlier, and the news guy does the same reaction they were goofing on before.
• Back to the Greasy Breakfast show, where they are doing weather.
• Caller – talking about “Bob and Tom”. Vos says he was golfing with Opie, and he had a Bob and Tom golf bag - Ant says that’s like being caught cheating.
• Caller – talks about the two sexiest fat men alive with a hacky comedian, and he puts on audio of O & A.
• Caller – “The Rick and Bubba Show”.
• Op says if anyone was wondering if it was a mistake to get satellite radio, this should convince you that it wasn’t.
Break
• They listen to live segments from more bad morning shows
- Greg Hill from WAAF in Boston
- Back to the “Big Greasy Morning Show”, talking to women who are desperate housewives.
- “Dan and Dan” morning show ( I missed this the first time, then after reading the listening thread and hearing the replay I realized it’s really audio of Ron and Fez) – talking about new slogans for New York City. Ant says that this show would be a good show to add to their channel.
• Switch to talking about Hot 97, the hip hop station in NY. Vos talks about being on the Hot 97 morning show, and walking out on them. Ant starts reading a list of all the violent incidents that have been related to Hot 97, from an article in the Village Voice.
• Lil’ Jimmy calls in, talks about being on that radio show in Baltimore. Op tells him that the only girl that showed up for them is a pig. She gets mad when she hears it, and is about to leave, but they convince her to flash them and come in studio. In studio, Op says she is cute but a little chubby. They question her about what she does, and Norton asks her over the phone if she would object to showing her meat curtains – and she says no. Jimmy says that he can’t hear them at all. Ant tricks her into showing them by having her flash the guys in the production booth. She says that she is 19, which Ant says instantly make her a lot hotter. They go to a website with pictures of her(Link Here (http://www.onemodelplace.com/member.cfm/ID/18098?CFID=6802544&CFTOKEN=18535545dc410281-92DEC667-2B3A-FD51-A7479EC760EF59B6)), and Op can’t believe it’s the same girl. Jimmy hints at Op doing his “Let her be” method of getting out of the studio and Op obliges. They thank Uncle Inky of citystylegirls.com for bringing her in. After she leaves they discuss how different she is in her pictures versus her in person, and Op says he thinks the listeners will agree with him when they post the pictures of her in studio versus the pictures on the website up on foundrymusic.com. Steve C comes in studio, and says that the pictures on her website were exponentially better than her in person, and that she left crying. They say goodbye to Jimmy
