We all know Opie's propensity for bad pronunciation (and I know this has come up before) but this phenomenon is *amazing* in its pure consistency on the show:
Anthony and Jim screw up a word or a joke, and they'll come right out and admit it: "I suck", "I stink", etc. You get the drift.
But Opie NEVER cops to his mistakes; there's ALWAYS an excuse. Don't hammer me for 100% accuracy, but I swear I've heard everything...
"It's the milk, it makes me congested..."
"I'm only at 75% today"
"It's early"
"I'm not awake yet.."
"I'm all stuffed up"
Honestly, this should be a drinking game. 1 shot for every time a word is mispronounced, 2 more shots if Opie backs it up with an excuse blaming it on external factors...
Just something I always manage to notice when listening...I hold my breath every time and *hope* that Norton picks up on it....He actually did it over the phone this morning from Bawldimoore to Vos, and I don't think anyone noticed. Vos asked the girl in the sweatshirt when she first came in, "Are you a porno?"
