I'm just thinking about this especially after the fact that Alan Sniffen, once enemy to the show, is now on good terms with the boys. After this last version of the OnA show is blown up and the boys go into retirement(along with hoohoo) do you think somewhere down the line they'll bury the hatchet? Or will there always be bad blood between them?

I just hope we get a good war going between hoo hoo and the bbboys, I mite even consider listening to howie to hear if/how he reacts (nah). What would be really great is to get some program with howard and O&A (hoo hoo would still suck, but it would be fun if he were cornered into a situation where he had to confront them and have O&A tool on him to his face).

He claims to be the innovator of this and that, thereby separating himself from the herd. He feels like he should be on top by himself, too bad he only thinks he's on top. Howard is nearing the end of his career quite rapidly, and he's praying going to Sirius will give his career the boost that it needs. He'll disappear on satellite radio, because unlike O&A, he cannot concurrently be heard on terrestrial radio. If the boys can do that (it's in their contract), they'll do quite well. They are two entirely different entities, and now my uninteresting babble ends with the answer to the question... no.

What Allen did to O&A does not even measure on the same scale as what Howard did. The dentist didn't like them. Big f'ing deal -- alot of folks don't. Howard fucked with their careers and fucked with them personally. Just because they won't be competitors one day doesn't mean they have to hug.

These are guys that gave Howard his props in the beginning till he pulled his muscle with Mel to fuck with them. Howard, himself, has burned any connections with anybody else in the industry. Just like Premartial Sex pointed out, he's jumped the shark and seperated himself by all means. So considering he does that to any top jocks, then made it personnal with O&A on many different occasions, I can never see it happening. They sooner make up with Don & Mike...at least they tolerated each other for a limited time.

Allan was never an "enemy" to the show, he was just critical of what they did on a professional level.

I don't even think it went that far. The only thing Allan said was that he didn't think they were as good once the show got syndicated because they had to balance a national audience rather than being just an NYC show.

One thing though - Allen definitely "gets" the show. Even when they were "enemies" and Opie played "Board Reflections" on air, Allan sent them a quick e-mail during the show jokingly saying thank you for putting board reflections on for a national audience. Looking back with what we know now, I think the name calling and stuff was just some good natured ball busting that was also a really funny bit for the show.
