Using wackbag.com can be a fun experience for all, as long as we all follow a few simple protocols and use just a li'l common sense.
Looking for an audio file?
Here's a few things you can do BEFORE you start a thread requesting a sound, show clip or bit:
1. Search www.foundrymusic.com - Most bits that are worth hearing again will be posted on foundry within a day or two of being heard live on the show.
2. Robification was kind enough to start a thread where people can request audio clips. Find it here - http://www.wackbag.com/showthread.php?t=9762
Between those two places you should be able to get any audio that exists from the O&A show. If you don't find what you're looking for, most likely there's a reason it wasn't posted anywhere.
Looking for pictures?
Pictures from the studio are always posted on www.foundrymusic.com. Do a search there or just look at the latest O&A downloads if it's something recent you want to see.
Pictures from road shows are often posted in the Opie And Anthony General Discussion (http://www.wackbag.com/index.php?) forum with in a day or so of the event (sometimes within hours). If you don't see a thread, do a quick search. If you still don't find anything and it's a recent event, give it a few days. People love to share their pics, you don't have to lure it out of them by posting a thread.
"I've got a great idea for a thread and I'm gonna post it!"
Slow down li'l Petey Premature Poster. Before you start a new thread, you should always do a search on the key words or topic of the post to see if it has already been posted. Chances are, it has. Once you've searched diligently and are sure there is no existing thread on the same topic, you should probably ask yourself if you would tool on someone for posting a similar thread. If you're still confident, go ahead and post it. But, be ready for it to moved, merged, defiled or otherwise bastardized. That's just the nature of message boards.
Not happy with how the show is run?
You should file your complaints and grievances with the proper authorities. You can find the wackbag.com Complaint Box here (http://www.eatadick.com).
Wanna talk about O&A in relation to other shows and or celebs?
Go to the O&A VS Other Talk Radio Hosts (http://www.wackbag.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14) forum and yap to your heart's content.
Looking for comedians upcoming show schedules, locations and other events?
Go to the Comedians, Guests and Friends of the Show (http://www.wackbag.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58) forum and check out all of the available information before you post a new thread.
Hey! This list is kinda short. Is that all of the rules?
Why yes, it is short. How much time do you think I have on my hands? This list is meant to be a primer that will be added to and modified as the site changes.
"Rules"? These are not rules, just some ways to make your visit to wackbag.com a li'l easier on everyone. The rules of the board can be found in the FAQ (http://www.wackbag.com/faq.php?). You really shouldn't post at all if you haven't read the FAQ. It's basically the constitution of this place.
What's the moral of the story?
If you think you have an original idea, you probably don't.
If you are thinking about posting it, chances are someone already has.
Don't be afraid to reply to existing threads. That nifty little reply button is there for a reason. Use it and get your post count increased by 1 (not that it actually matters, but more activity = more gooder board).
Finally, my standard disclaimer:
I am not now nor have I ever been a moderator or administrator of wackbag.com. I post the above as my li'l contribution to keep the wackbag forums free of frustration for all. Nobody asked me to post this thread and it was not reviewed by wackbag management before being posted.
Brought to you by your friendly neighborhood negro, Kid Afrika.
