Ugh, this could be the WORST radio station EVER! Bravo to XM for turning down the deal (see article). From a business perspective, this doesn't make sense: I am 99% sure that the VAST majority of satellite radio subscribers are men (gadget-oriented, truckers, etc.). Can you see any bland soccer moms subscribing to satellite radio JUST for Martha Stewart? I don't think so (but compare to the huge number of guys who bought XM just for the b-b-boys).
Also interesting is that they timed the press release for 11am...wonder if that was a coincidence?
