This has got to be the best new character of Anthony's, I dont recall him doing it in the WNEW days. It's so fucking funny, the "Lucky Strike" guy? It's so funny that you think about it like two days later and you start laughing hysterically again. I heard him doing the voice about "midgets in conneticut" today, and I fucking spit soda all over the living room and then choked on it and had to change my shirt. I love that guy. (And then the part about Dice hitting the midget and saying he thought "it was a bird" didn't help much either.) Fuckin great.

Its really funny in a totally unassuming way. You don't expect to laugh your ass off at something like that, but before you know it, your stomach and your face ache from laughing.

I think its 1940s btw, not '20s.

Sure thing, Pat O'Brien.

Yeah, the Lucky Strike guy/"It's the 50s" guy is a great new character.

You know the show has gotten really damned good in the last few weeks (barring the break). It's basically back to its former glory at this point, though I wish they'd have the balls to do some of their more insane stunts again.

Anthony should really do an interview in that character.

I also love that character, and I don't remember it back when I listened to the bbbboys in syndication, so I think it's fairly new.

"After lynching a colored go back to your all white neighborhood and strike up a Lucky! Because remember, it's the 1950s and you're white!"

I think Danza might be a little funnier though. Ant's just plays him like a good, but the voice is so dead-on.

Didnt they used to do a CBS FM gag that was similar?

I'd love to hear Mike Tyson being interviewed by Mr. Lucky.

"And remember, coloreds drink from their own water fountain!"

That line had me cracking up that day! It would be awesome to hear Ant interview somebody in that character. "Strike up a Lucky because you're white!" :icon_mrgr

His voices are great; Tony Danza bits were what got me hooked on O&A. They should do that bit again, it's been a while so they shouldn't expect it.

Yeah, what I was I thinking, def. 40s or 50s announcer. Damn it. OH MAN, we need Ant to interview someone in that voice. Good call.

ANT, IF YOU READ THIS THREAD- DO AN INTERVIEW IN THE 1940S VOICE

im not sure if it was the second or third but steven lynch went along with one of the couples during sex for sam and he was using the 20's announcer voice....not that this means anything at all just reminded me of it

A little off topic, but I found this while searching for an avatar. Now I can marry the Reagan and 50's guy impressions into one glorious image. Dutch knows best!

It would be great if he had a scratchy old sound to go along with it similar to what the old records or reel to reel films sound like.

how convient (sp).

the family guy where peter becomes president of his toy company, which was bought by El Dorado Cigarettes is on. they showed an old cig ad where this guy just appears and says "smoke". anthony should have voiced that part.

that's where the "how convient" part of my post came from. guess i should have been more specific :action-sm

hahahaha forgot about the part in this episode where peter is testifying about Clarence Thomas and they call his bluff. Peter freaks and just starts yelling "bababooey bababooey, Howard Sterns penis, Howard Sterns penis, bababooey!"

Can anyone tell me what day Anthony did the lucky strike bit. I think it was in Jan.

I think the origin of the Lucky Strike guy was the "The Enola Gay rolls down the runway!" voice!

Wow.. good memory. I only remember something like... "You won't have to worry about TAR, BABY.." during Ant's lucky strike bit. Classic stuff.
