What movies does he quote? I know the basic stuff, his Walken impression and stuff, but I can never follow what he's saying. I guess he'll do a Platoon reference, but thats about it. He mentions some guy named Joey alot; what's that about?

Some movies you need to watch several times and just study, to fully get the beauty of them.

I was hoping this thread would be posted, I had a hard time keeping up with writing them down.
JFK, Do the Right Thing, 25th Hour, and Clerks should round it out.
Ant had the Clerks ref by the way not Jay but I figured i'd throw it in.

Oh man, that was fucking outstanding! I'm not the biggest Jay Mohr fan, but he did a friggin one man show out of "Do The Right Thing", he voiced like 6 different characters and all very well impersonated too, esp. John Turturro (I've never heard anyone do John Turturro). His Chris Penn was impeccable, and then who does the trainer, of all characters from Raging Bull?? I was dying! "He's got ya by the balls Jake, ya gotta knock im' out!!" (Jay was the best thing aside from Walken in "Suicide Kings" too; "This place is supposed to be deserted, it's like goddamn woodstock!")

I miss the old days when everyone would start w/the movie references and just hop movies for like 10 minutes at a stretch. (Usually starting with Godfather II or Moe Green) Today they did it more, I was lovin it.

"If Howard does more XM commercials, they'll know they have a partner. If doesn't, they'll know they dont."

Next time Mohr's on, the display should show what movie he's referencing to help out some lost listeners... kind of like pop-up radio.

No, that would be a stupid idea.

Well JFK, Goodfellas, Godfather I and II and Raging Bull are all required watching. And Apocalypse Now too.

"Fundamentally people are suckers for the truth, and the truth is on your side, bubba."

"YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN!" / "G'head! Go ahead, be a killah just like your fathah!"

"I never asked (tsk) who was behind it! Because it had NOTHING TO DO WITH BUSINESS! (Tsk)"

"Larr-y! You're gonna find your dog dead in a hallway.."

"I saw a snail...slithering....on the edge of a straight razor...."

(Quotes run respectively to movie list, common ones you hear on the show. If you want to be a real man, watch these. I wish I could hear more Glengary Glenn Ross quotes though.)
