Vos was totally set up today. They wanted him on the phone simply to tool on him. The problem is, he wasn't able to come back at them because by the time he heard what they said (if he heard what they said), they were all already laughing at him. That put him on his heels and made it unrecoverable. To his detrement, he called back later in the show for more abuse.

Today's show was a cluster fuck. Too much shit going on, especially with Jay Mohr's breaking into lines from movies seemingly out of nowhere.

Don't get me wrong, I think Jay kills during most of his appearances. I just think he stepped on other guests a bit too much today. Could be he was just a li'l overzealous since it's his first time back in studio in such a long time.

I say more Jay = more gooder.

And, I say keep Vos off the phone. He's much better in the studio.

Jay has returned to the fold, stopped acting too big for the show, and has killed on XM. A comic doing a Chris Penn, and Harvey Keitel impression shouldn't be funny, but it is.

You have to see these comics do their live show before you judge them. They use to say that on the show all the time... "we may tool on Vos during the show but he kills when he does his act on stage." The phone in always sucks... even Jimmy said he hates trying to be funny during call ins.

I also think Vos would be funnier if he got XM and listened to the new show everyday. Many times Vos seems out of sync because he doesn't get the new jokes that are part of the new show. The XM people should just give this cheap jew a myfi to get him more involved in the show.

Another thing... say what you want about Jay... but the two times he was on the show, he proved to me he is a fan of the new show. He has pulled some of the most obscure references from the new show, and you just know he has been listening from the beginning. I'm glad Jay is back... and hope Dice comes back as well.

Vos came to a little bar in Bound Brook (The Rail. It's a couple miles from his home in Golfer-field, NJ) to help start a comedy night a few months ago. There was only about 15 people in the place and NJ Transit trains wizzing by every couple of minutes. He KILLED.......No other word for it......He's a great guy. He obviously was having a bad day and was still funny as hell.

I've been trying to say just this exact thing for a while now. It's good to see I'm not alone. I loved Jay's vicious attacks today. Up until today I couldn't stand Jay...he definitely redeemed himself.

I gotta go along with you. At first he was pretty funny especially with the black Pope thing. But, as the show went on all he could do it impressions and quotes of all his favorite movies. I've been a fan of Vos since the WNEW days, and have seen him live a bunch of times (Carolines, Comedy Cellar, opening for Lil' Jimmy in Virginia), and he is usually dead on. He can be brutally quick and viscious, but sometimes he stammers and loses confidence in a joke; unlike some others (Jimmy), he doesn't admit the joke sucked, and tries to bully you into a laugh. Unfortunately for the show, this happens frequently when he calls in, but live (and in studio), it is usually a different story. Overall, he usually kills.

I have to disagree. Just ask those that were at the Stress Factory last year. Bonnie SUCKED ASS, no one laughed, and she gave the crowd the finger because she wasn't funny. (yeah, didn't make sense to me either, when it happened.) Vos, on the other hand, KILLED. The crowd was rolling.

Don't care for Vos. What's crazy is I went to a comedy show as a spur of the moment thing and Vos was performing. He still didn't do anything for me during his act, but he did have a suck ass crowd and the venue sucked. His best stuff for me was when he was ripping on the stage setup where he could see the bathroom doors opening and closing from the corner of his eye as well as the interegator spotlight on him.

I think Vos is good on the show, obviously a good friend to the show, and the more he is on the more I like him. I have only been listening since March, but I think a bunch of you old timers don't get it. Having different people on especially when they are friends of the show makes for damn good radio.
