Rolling Stones announce world tour (http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/music/nyc-stones0511,0,6015921,print.story?coll=ny-entertainment-headlines)
After the performance, singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, both 61, joined drummer Charlie Watts, 63, and guitarist Ron Wood, 57, to answer questions. Jagger said the band will "dig into the catalogue" for this tour and also play songs from its upcoming album.
Jagger wouldn't say whether this would be the band's final tour. "We take every tour as it comes," he said.

Yeah, I'm sure the people will be paying a minimum of 100 dollars a ticket to hear those songs. If you are going to charging the ungodly amount they will be charging, play the fucking hits......

It's hard to call them out on that though. Every band plays their new stuff too.
But yeah, no band should ever charge for tickets what those bastards do.

Interesting... that pict of Saddam in tighty whities will not appear on al jazeera but US citizens getting their heads cut off will... just saying as all.
Forgot to add... all these Iraqi "patriots" who are doing this shit should be shot... and not in the head... I would suggest starting lower and moving upwards... just my opinion I could be wrong...

I saw the Stones play in Philly a few years ago. Paid $100 bucks a seat
to see them. It was a great show. It's like anything else in life, if
dumb asses like me will pay the price, why wouldn't they charge that much?
Look at ticket prices for sports events, you cant see some games for less than
a hundred bucks for 2 seats yet alone for a family of 4, but they still
sell big time. The Stones are still playing and people like me will be paying.

Only the shitty games charge that much.
The Stones need to retire. They look and sound sad. Hell, they didn't sound that good 35 years ago.

If you didn't like them then, why would you like them now?

WTF does this have to do with the Stones?
its funny how some people refuse to accept old age.
Better to keep working and live than retire and rot away.

Hell, won't half the show or more be that? I'd rather see an act that's still creatively moving than one simply playing old material.
Stones still rock, at least they still have more of their edge than Aerosellout.

Why in hell would I want to pay $790 to go see the Rolling Stones with my wife. My wife loves the Stones and I was thinking of doing something special for her. Well...I logged on to the presale for the Stones and wanted to get the "Best Seats Available"...come to find out those are $350 each not including all the convenience charges and "location/venue" charge. I then went and clicked on "Seats for $60" and found that the only seats available were back in the furthest section from the stage and on the upper bowl. This is Omaha for heaven's sake! Why would anyone consider paying that much to see any rock band in Omaha! Don't tell me its because they are true fans...that is BS! The Stones have always said they were a band of the "common man" and the "blue collar workers". Well...those fans are unable to purchase your tickets because they have "mortgage payments" and "children" and "utitlity bills" they need to pay. AND ISN'T IT QUITE FUNNY HOW A MORTGAGE COMPANY IS SPONSORING THIS TOUR? YOU HAVE TO MAKE A MORTGAGE PAYMENT TO THE STONES JUST TO GET A DECENT TICKET!
hmm...lets see....I would rather go see modest mouse 30 times in the front row for $750 then go see the Bumbling Stones for the same.

I totally agree with you. I saw them a couple of years ago and I am going to see them on their upcoming tour when it comes to New York. And I am excited about it. They put on a good show and have a lot of good music. They can charge a lot for their tickets because they know people will buy them. The Rolling Stones have like a following. The people who love them and their music will pay top dollar if needed to just see them. This might be their last tour.. even though the last tour I was at supposedly was also. You don't need to buy the $400 seats.. there are cheaper ones. But, since they are like a legend.. they can charge a lot of money for their tickets. And they should be able to after so many years of good music.

In the Daily News today they reported that Sirius is planning on a 24 hour Rolling Stones channel.
I love the Stones and all, but that's plain idiotic. Stupid Sirius.
