Not much to say here, other than I AM DONE!!!!!!!!!! I have been going to Rutgers for five years (yeah..... I know) and I did not really like it. In retrospect, I should've gone to the University of Miami when I had the opportunity, but I foolishly turned it down to go to RU. I struggled at times, not because the classes were too difficult or anything like that, but because I am a complete jackass. Over the past 12 months, I have taken 52 credits so I could finally get out of this place and I am proud to say that my final grades have been posted and I will finally be graduating this coming Thursday. Hallefuckinglujah!!

edit: and thank you!

Tell me about it Bach. I have been looking for over a month now and it is hell.

And believe me, rahrah, I could do without those fat sandwhiches (but man, are they yummy).

Another FU to the R.U. screw from another Rutgers Alumni. Hey Mike you got a better education dealing with that mess of an institution than you did in class. Its mirrors real life, working hard only to get fucked over while watching someone who doesnt deserve to, get ahead. Good luck.

Guess it was a good thing I chose Penn State over Rutgers. Mike takes 52 credits in a year (completely insane) to get out of college, I stopped going to class my last semester so I could stay for an extra summer.

Billy: You got that right. I have to go down to the campus tomorrow just to make sure my name is posted on the official list of those eligible to graduate and I just know that there is going to be some sort of problem. I don't know what it is going to be excuse given, but I just know that something is going to happen. And thank you. :)

BeltOfScotch: You did right. But in the end, I cannot say I am too sorry about my decision only because the cost of going to RU as an in-state student was extraordinarily less than it would have cost to go elsewhere, but part of me really wishes I went to Miami. And I couldn't get passed the notion that a lot of people out there who do not know any better think that Rutgers is this incredibly great school. :icon_wink

I have to say, though, that my parents are freaking brilliant. My brother is graduating from medical school in a week, so they decided to throw a party for the two of us, despite the fact that neither of us wanted one. I felt like it was dumb to celebrate my graduation, especially after it took my stupid ass five years to do so and my brother and I both shy away from attention anyways. But they did it anyways and I am sooooo glad they did. I walked away with about fifteen hundred dollars in gifts!!! :icon_mrgr

Thanks. :)

And yes, in person, I am pretty shy. I overcompensate by coming on here and piss everyone off by acting like (what others seem to perceive to be) an asshole.

i would love to see a poll on this one. "who thinks mike H is an asshole?"(i think that would be member bashing though)

Go for it... (it can't be bashing if I consent to it, can it?)

I'd like to think that I am just misunderstood, but whatever...

Hey Mike you should have posted the date and address of your grad party. A mob of drunken wackbaggers crashing the party would have beeen interesting. Like the doodie scene in caddyshack.

Thanks everyone for the congrats.

Who the hell would want to show up for a graduation ceremony on Thursday afternoon at the Rutgers Basketball Arena (just off of Rte. 18 in Piscataway/New Brundswick) at noon? I don't even want to go, but that is a hard arguement to win against my mother. :icon_wink

I don't know why you/anyone else would care, Vag, but my last two semesters, my GPA was a 3.083 in the fall and a 3.250 in the spring. However, my awful cumulative GPA is about a 2.125. I majored in history and my GPA among history classes was around a 3.3 or so. Like I said, classes weren't difficult, I was just a complete jackass my first couple of years in school, hence my awful GPA, the fact that it took me five years to graduate, and my taking a ridiculous 52 credits over the last year to get to the finish line.

Edit: And amazingly, I stopped by the campus today to make sure that everything is in order and my name was on the list and it was, so it is official! The RU Screw failed to get me one last time.

Congrats. And don't feel bad...most kids these days are on a 5 year plan. It took me a lot longer (8 years), but I was college hopping and took some time off between my associate & bachelor degrees.

Good luck with the job hunting, and have fun at graduation. Personally, I found my ceremony to be a total waste of a personal day.

i like to consider my self a professional college drop out. i have been to 4 different schools, changed my major 7 times, and have been kicked out of almost every dorm in buffalo. my problem i guess is i like to smoke too much pot and drink too much Jack Daniels. no matter how much i tell my self i'm not gonna fuck up this time and keep my face in a book and not a bong, it never seems to last very long. actually, all it takes is someone walking by and ask me if i wanna smoke and it's all over from there. :icon_evil

Wanna smoke weed, dude kid? And then let's **** and pillage the Bunt Sisters!

Did you know you can buy a house in a rural area for the cost of most college's tuition?

my buddy lives in the old skool project housing that they built while Buffalo had the big steel plants and grain mills along lake erie. the house is really old, has awesome heat, no air conditioning though, but the place is fucking huge. he only pays like 220 a month. thats dirt cheap for a 3 bedroom apartment in buffalo. and no, it's not the ghetto. however there is a wet back that lives next door who has been busted for selling bootleg CD's and DVD's. :icon_evil
