the video came out great considering it was taken on a digital camera... its was great how po took this so serious.
BTW for those of you who were not there the first video is the aftermath of po doing a demonstration with a lightsaber where he was moving so was and whipping it so hard that it just broke and the top came off

We took some great pictures of the freaks in line on Master Po's camera... there was this one guy dressed up as a storm tropper but he only had a mask, so for the costume the guy dressed in skin tight white longjohns... fucking hilarious... his package was just hanging out...

I love how the tools that are larping are trying to be all martial artsy and imitate what they have seen in Star Wars and other movies. Po is actually doing what you are supposed to do in a weapon fight. I took about 5 years of eskrima weaponry training, and he is actually doing "moves" associated with sticks, not swords. Yes, there is a difference. Anyway, those losers would get annihilated in a real weapon fight, yet they probably think that they are so badass, because they can do a move that Ewan McGregor did in Star Wars. Dorks.

Via. Photoshop, after effects, and commotion for removal of lightsaber.

If anyone can get me a better video this would come out 10 times better. Im still in the process of doing it. Only did a little so far, im gonna do his first,then do his opponent. then add extra's like lazerfire where master po blocks with his light saber when he starts flinging the sword around in a kung foo style.

This kind of work is actualy done frame by frame same way as its done in the movies, though as i said before i really wish the video sample was better, lol oh well

That kicks ass! I can't wait till you get to the part where Po is going REALLY fast with the sabre. I was thinking he was going faster than the guys in the friggan movie. That was a fun night. It'd be cool to get another vid of Po and someone fighting with light sabers and editing that one up too, or even start going the whole Star Wars kid route with all sorts of scenarios with light sabering Po.

Already one step ahead of you on the music, i just did a small bit more, added music and edited a light saber clash scene, and for those who pm'ed me, i use 4 peices of software to do this, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After effects. Adobe Premeire and Commotion,
BTW commotion is or rather was used to most kung fu movies for wire removal when they fly. lol u just used it to erase the light saber at the beginning to look like he turned it on.

everything else was done on the other programs
Oh yeah and adobe auditon for sound editing

Im contimplating making a starwars into with the yellow words in space then fade it down to that scene

if it didnt take long as hell id edit the background and put them in a starwars kinda scene. But doing Cromekeying manually takes a long fucking time and its not worth it with the low video quality.

I can add stuff to the scenes though, i use maya also so i can basicly make anything 3d and add it.
