I last had to post a thread like this over 2 years ago. And it sucks this time too.
Our Cocker Spaniel, Tammy died yesterday. I take comfort in the fact that she died in her sleep somewhat peacefully and she lived to the ripe old age of 15. I'm not quite as busted up this time as before because last time, it was "my" dog pretty much. She was my sister's dog. Regardless, it stinks. Rest in peace.

Mind u she is buried by the cat nip patch now... which I think she would like...I did make her a little cedar coffin for her ashes (yada yada I have carpentry skills) dang getting misty now...

RIP Tammy. I got my first pup when I was 4, she died when I was 18. I took that really hard. I'm glad my beagle lived till 14 years old.

Thanks folks. It stinks. Our other pooch is really having issues. He knows she's buried out in the yard. He sat there whimpering the other night. But when he's in the house he keeps looking around for her.

I feel for you. My Springer Spaniel is 11 years old. My kids are 8 and 5. I know the dog ain't gonna last much longer. I'll miss the dog very much when she's gone. I am not looking forward to how my kids are going to handle it.

Sorry to hear that Sinn. I know the feeling. I remember how it felt when I was 18 & my beagle who I had since the first grade died; you never forget, but it gets better with time, so I hope you feel better buddy.

Unless you're radio legend Don Geronimo, then it's cool to make fun of the loss.
