Pissed off at Piss Tests

Here is a big fuck you to all companies that drug test. Since I have moved to Atlanta two seperate companies have denied me employment due to dilute urine results :icon_evil not even positive results. I stopped smoking because I knew I was going to be tested and just to be sure I had been drinking lots of water and coffee on days of the tests- they would not even let me retest- they just assume that if you are dilute you must be trying to hide something-well fuck them they did not deserve me working for them, it just sucks after all the time and effort put into the whole exhaustive interview process to come up empty- I know I should have just quit a long time ago, but after smoking daily for 20 plus years it is not as easy as it sounds. Fuck it, I am hot on the trail of an even better job and they dont piss test......it is just a violation of human rights and an invasion of privacy. FUCK YOU US FOODSERVICE and INLAND SEAFOOD FUCK YOU WITH A DIRTY STICK U FUCKING NAZIS!!!!!!!!!!! :clap:

Well, about ten years ago when I was a teenager, I fucked up and got put on probation. They will give you a violation for a diluted result and will even revoke the probation if it happens two or three times. It happened to me and I had to go back to court.

Yep. if you do something you know is going to get you in trouble, you can't get pissed at the system when you get in trouble. I was a stupid teenager, but I was smart enough to quit smoking after I had to go back to court.

I also got arrested outside of a Bob Dylan / Phil Lesh concert when I was 17 for posession (and same thing with the subsequent probation and mandatory piss tests), so it is not like I am judging anyone. But, in the end, it was me that fucked up and I took responsibility for it. And if I had not gotten that job because I failed the test somehow, it was still my own fault.

Ditto. At LEAST once a year. Twice this year so far (one pre-hire and one random), and that doesn't count urine screening twice a year for blood & glucose levels. Guvmint requirement.

If all you were doing was smoking weed, it shouldn't show up after 3-4 weeks, and that's the high side for someone with a high percentage of body fat. Stop smoking weed if you know you have a test coming up, which should be REALLY simple if you're applying for jobs where you know you're likely to get screened.

Since I don't do drugs this isn't something I study up on, but I thought that "modern" pee pee tests had gotten sophisticated enough that you couldn't fool them without bringing your own clean sample (and that won't likely work either, unless you can somehow keep it at body temp). I know that they now test for blockers in addition to the drugs themselves.

i had to take a drug test recently and i was amazed at how strict they are. first i was not allowed to go into the room unless i was 100% sure i had to pee. second, when i confirmed that i had to go, the timelimit was 4 minutes to do everything. she followed me to the bathroom and stood outside. the toilet did not have a handle(she flushed it via a switch outside the bathroom).
she then took my specimin and attached a sticker that told her the temp of my urine.

Yep that works wonders. H2O people! I spent 3 miserable years on Bergen Co. probation and that worked like a charm. Funny how the kid who got me arrested was also there some days.....oh how I wanted to choke that motherfucker. :icon_evil

I agree with ya mister. However it IS cool to say I got to see the man who inspired Jerry to do those songs in the first place.

:action-sm So I got a job selling produce for a subsidiary of a major foodservice company. Didnt think they were going to be testing, but they did. I had been clean for 3 weeks prior to the test but was so fucking paranoid and did not want to risk loosing yet another job and maybe a marriage, so I snuck in some sythetic urine. It cost $20 came in a little bottle sort of like the ones you would use for shampoo while camping, complete with a little temperature strip so you know it is within the correct range- heated the fucker up on the way to the test, stuck it in my drawers and just dumped it in the cup. Next thing I knew I got a "welcome to Atlanta sir" from the nurse- the rest is history.

I must agree with the folks who say you should just not smoke, cause it aint worth the hassle and heartache. Now that I am hired, I plan on only smoking ocassionally.

Comcast has a zero tolerance policy... I could be driving my truck and get REAR ENDED by some golfer and have to go for a pee test. I could be in my truck with my boss and we get hit, and they send us BOTH for a pee test to make sure we didn't change seats.. it's crazy, nuts, insane... last time i went when I hurt my back and I saw Bono doing coke in his limo.

Why not? Can't I blame a company for not wanting to hire fags or golfers? When the company decides to not hire people that have differences that don't affect their job performance then I blame the company for bowing to stupid religious rubes who fear the demon weed.

The whole point of a drug test is to catch people who do drugs but don't exhibit symptoms of drug use at work. If a guy is high on coke at work and he can't function then he should be fired because he can't function, not because he uses coke. If people can use coke or heroin or whatever and not let it affect their job performance then just leave them the fuck alone.
