It was a blast to create the Monster Rain game (http://www.3crans.com/oa/flash/monsterrain.aspx), and I would like to do some more. What would be really cool is if a few of you talented people out there would like to join me, so we could produce some really high quality stuff.

The concept is to create a series of games centered around major O&A characters/events. Future games could be centered around the eggnog contest, wifflebat challange, poker chips, etc.

Looking for the following skills:

Advanced Flash Programming (this is where I would be focusing most of my energy):
Core game logic, advanced user interaction, advanced animation using Flash MX Actionscript.

Intermediate Flash:
Intro scenes, credit scenes, minor animations, etc using Flash MX or Swish.

Graphics Design:
Produce high quality vector or bitmap graphics to use as game sprites.

Sound Fxs:
Sample/create sound files for game use. These could be finding existing sounds (for example, find every bad Pat from Moonachie joke) or creating new sounds.

Web Development:
Perform server-side coding to interact with the games (mainly for high scores, etc). Development is ASP.NET against a SQL Server database.

Testers/QA:
Just play the beta of the game to report bugs, etc.

Why? Well, it is fun to do, and if we start cranking out some real high quality stuff, maybe we can help spread the virus a bit. Also, it is always good to sharpen your skills.

All members of the development team will be participating in the "idea" phase of the game....formulating the game itself, cool features, easter eggs, etc.

ben sparks centipede - ben herks & jerks down the board as tom brady fires shots of coke at him. Once ben reaches terminal herkocity the level ends, and on to next level.

Opie rollerblade road rash - Op speeds thru central park on his trusty blades as an assorted cast of characters attacks. Hoo Hoo - the inventor of roller blades, Robin - in her mobile dunk tank, baba booey - the wonder chimp himself, fred - tries to wrap opie in a bandana. It's the world against OPIE, will he make it thru the park?

Pat from moonachie frogger - The infamous Pat "from moonachie" Philbin has to make a delivery to a downtown building. Unfortunately his van, and his myfi were stolen so he has to walk across the street. Fat man walking across street + fast light = hilliarity.

I think one of the first things we should do is spread the MONSTER RAIN game. Get as many wackbaggers to try it as we can. Then get a team together and "brainstorm", before we bluesky the ideas we should harmonize our synergy....HA, i love that corporate shit.

I was a mod on a board that had a flash arcade section where high scores were kept and members could challenge each other. I don't know how to set it up but I do know people that do.

I'm a huge gamer, so this is an interesting thread. You should really look at this clan site: http://www.07030.com Hit "enter the core". That's where he posts some O&A news and stuff. The guy who runs this is a huge O&A fan, and he maps for Quake 3 type games. Also, allot of his maps have WOW stickers he programmed into the game maps, so he's really trying to spread the virus in his area.

I can't link his images, but he has shots of WOW that are in his maps in his faq section. I'm under the impression that everyone in this dude's gaming clan are O&A fans. He also posts on Foundry every so often.

Just thought I'd throw this into the mix. The dude has some talent. :smarty: For a corny star trek game site, it's probably the best I've seen. :clap: And it would be nice to have an all out frag fest ala quake 3 in the O&A Studios. :AR15firin Someone see if this dude is interested... :icon_wink

I'll be glad to test any games that are made, I have access to a few different types of machines and operating systems. I am a Technical Support technician full-time as well, so I do have some experience beta testing different programs. Anything I can do to help spread the virus, let me know.

If any of the boys are reading this thread this would definitely get a kick out of whichever of the two encounters schwoogies on his way to work. I can see the last part of what you wrote stewed, a schwoogie catches you and your character loses consciousness and then after 5 seconds of black screen you hear frosty the snowman or jingle bells playing. I can come up with some ideas for games if you need someone to formulate something robot.

I think an attack on the media game would be pretty fun. Dodging security and traffic to get the reporters to say "What the fuck is your problem" maybe even use media quotes, the occasional WoW as a reward.
