NEW YORK -- Every news reporter knows you don't swear on live television, but a New York City TV reporter got caught doing so when he thought his microphone was off.
Reporter Arthur Chi'en of WCBS was being heckled by two men who were shouting about a couple of satellite radio shock-jocks, and making obscene gestures, while Chi'en was doing a live report from a subway station.
He finished his report despite the distractions, and then turned to the two hecklers and shouted an obscenity.
The microphone picked up his voice yelling, "What the -- blank -- is your problem?"
The "f-word" went out over the air, and Channel Two fired Chi'en Thursday.
As for the shock-jocks -- Opie and Anthony -- they're celebrating over the reporter's firing.
