I'll get my second chance at qualifying for The Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, N.Y.....I got 3rd place at the East Hartford qualifier with 15 1/2 Hot Dogs in 12 minutes, I think with some work on my technique, I could do 20! (it's nice to have goals in life! :rolleyes: )...if your in the neighborhood, come on by !

yea what you got to do especially a month before the contest is eat more and more every day to strech your stomach out. Then (as you have been) the day before you dont eat anything. This is what kobayashi did/does to get in shape for the contest.

I think you should try to get in the WingBowl here in Philly around superbowl time. Wing Bowl is an Infinity broadcasting sponsored event since 610 WIP (the Wing Bowl creators) is owned and operated by them. But there is Television Coverage. The chance for an assault on the media is ripe for the picking for local OnA fans to have at it. I think Pat should be eyeing this contest and all OnA fans in NY,Philly,DC should be gearing up for it as well. The opportunity is just too huge to pass up if Pat can get into this contest.

First Pat would have to go on air with 610 and do some kind of eating display to get the guys from 610 to let him into the contest. That would be great for the "Whacky radio bit". How cool would it be if pat was on a whacky radio bit spouting out his cheesy one liners and occasionally throwing in OnA references for us to hear.


Then if Pat gets into Wing Bowl. The chance for OnA Fans to do an assault on the media is just Huge!! First of all the event is a live broadcast. Second the Event is in a Stadium and recorded for television.

Edit: I almost forgot one of the best parts for Wing Bowl. Pat would have an elaborate entrance. Just like Wrestling. He can do whatever he wants basically. Of course within taste since it is Fucking Infinity that runs the thing.

Pat you should definately look into Wing Bowl, it is an absolutely HUGE event in Philly and they let anyone into the studio to try out for it. At the very least, you can get on the air while they interview you and you can toss out many obscure references during so.

I was able to videotape the contest. Pat could have done more. The three ranked guys were intense. Pat was his old self making jokes and twirling hotdogs in the air. Pat looked up like Blutarski from animal house and started rocking his stomach around. With around 40 seconds to go Pat woofed one and a half dogs like nothing. The other ranked guys hit a wall. They really seem to take it seriously. They were stunned. Totally awesome on Pat's part. Pat won a years supply of hotdogs. It was cool! :clap: :clap: :clap:

I was able to videotape the contest. Pat could have done more. The three ranked guys were intense. Pat was his old self making jokes and twirling hotdogs in the air. Chomp-ionship eating

Philly eaters got smoked in Saturday's hot-dog-eating contest sponsored by Nathan's Famous at the Independence Visitors Center. The winner, who gets a shot at Nathan's Fourth of July eat-off at Coney Island, was Patrick Philbin, 41, a 6-foot-2, 330-pound courier from Moonachie, N.J., who downed 201/2 doggies and buns in 12 minutes. Second was "Buffalo Jim" Reeves, 36, of Boston, N.Y., who was a full hot dog behind. Third was Royersford's Bob Shoudt, 38, who ate 181/2. Shoudt is a professional eater who holds the world mark for devouring penne and marinara.
