LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks was indicted Wednesday for allegedly filing a false police report claiming she had been kidnapped, charges that could mean up to six years in prison.

A grand jury indicted the 32-year-old woman on one count of making a false police report, a misdemeanor, and one count of false statement, a felony. The felony charge carries a maximum sent of five years in prison, said Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter. The other count carries a penalty of up to a year.

``We believe this is a reasonable next step in the case. We believe the grand jury made the right decision,'' Porter said.

``At some point you just can't lie to the police,'' he said.

I heard this on the news today. She's being charged for filing the false

Plus, she'll most likely be in a Georgia state pen, not federal, so at least us massholes won't be paying for it. At least I think that's how it works.

Anyway, once her trial is over, she'll be forgotten if she's in jail. If she's working the corner, at least the public can enjoy her "talents."

if you would have read the article on top... the misdemeanor carrys up to a year and the felony carrys up to 5 years... so the worst she can do is 6 years if the sentences are consecutive... but they will probably run concurant to each other and with ood behavior she would be out in a few years...
it does not mater anyway... they will probably plea it out and have her pay a fine, go to therapy and do community service.... at least it is more tan a murderer gets
