I may be a day late and a dollar short (LOL RAOF), but did anyone mention the Jimmy quote from yesterday while Voss was talking about the girl they drove back to his place?:

Voss (talking about the girl) - "We were fooling around in the back seat..."

Jimmy (improvising) - "...She was driving."

Proving once again the comedy genius of Jimmy. I was surprised Opie didn't stop the show to acknowledge it.

Definitely not reaching - the fact that it was an off the cuff throwaway line proves my point. Most of the hacks out there would need time to come up with a gem like that!

Sometimes they miss a gem, but Jimmy lets it pass because he knows he'll knock another one out of the park. unlike like Vos who repeats every line he gets in.

Jimmy tosses out alot of those Lil' gems. That's what's great about him. Lightening wit and totally brutal. But I still love it when he stumbles and says...."I stink"

genius? maybe not....... but about as close as you can get without being a genius. he's definately got good improv skills. most of hte time. it's always funny when he fucks up too.

I'd really like to see Jimmy have fewer screw ups. I'm sure it's all due to his genius mind moving faster than he can actually speak. I just think that some of his lines would be MUCH funnier than, "Fuck! I stink!"

i love his "oh it's time to change, oh we're so ashamed" line from the robert reid aids bit, that started out as opie's "hi mom" thing.

It doesn't get any better than Jimmy. How can you possibly say this man isn't a genius? I've never seen another comic consistantly deliver day after day like Jimmy does. Have you been to a comedy club or listened to other radio lately? The talent pool out there is shallower than my last sperm sample. Speaking of, I answered an ad in the paper to shoot loads for an an extra 200 bucks a week. I found out I have a below average sperm count. A bachelors fantasy.....

It's an OK line but seriously you must never hang out with a bunch of smart asses. If you did you would probably think it was a good line but not exceptional. Lines like that are thrown out all the time by people who never even thought about doing standup or being on the radio.
