What the hell is this thing that came with my Myfi

What the hell is this little plastic piece that came with my Myfi and Roady 2. It doesn't connect one thing to another. Any ideas???

i should have put a reference object in with it... it's not the belt clip. it's about the size of my thumbnail, can slide into the mounting slot (no pun intended) on the myfi clip and car cradle, but the other end (the end shown) doesn't fit into anything else. it almost looks like a spacer, but isn't.

It's like a cell phone adapter thing for installation purposes. If you notice the back of the little plastic thing, it should clip into the back of the MyFi car kit. At least that's how it is with my SkyFi2.

It took me forever to figure that out too...it has something to do with one of the car kits...i dont remember which...if you dont need it dont worry

Yeah, I think you can use it to store your cell phone on the car mount. Doesn't work for me though, because I always have the Roady2 on the car mount. I also don't have the right cell phone holster thing.

I got one with mine too, it's too small to be a clip of any kind. I just threw it back in the box though, instead of starting a thread about it ;)

It's sort of the same thing as a "gender changer". The oposite side of the clip in that photo, slips into the back of the car cradle. The side I can see in the pic fits into other mounting brackets, other than the brackets included with the Myfi. Like aftermarket mounting clips, brackets and arms. You might want to keep it if you need to change your mounting bracket.
