Seriously, when i was "on the scene" I would always try to get THEIR number, that way i had some iota of control. If its a fake number or you get no callback then you know right away.

In your case I would say a week or so. If she can't find 15 free minutes over the course of a week, she aint interested.

Not long at all, actually - was yesterday. Like I said, it is "new" to me and I didnt want to invest more time thinking about it, than need be.

Well MY first reaction was that I dont think I've ever heard of the MAN giving the GIRL his number, usually its the other way around is it not? A girl doesnt wanna be the one to make the first call - the guy is supposed to be the assertive one. I wouldnt be surprised if she was in fact somewhat interested in you but didnt have it in her to be the one to call. So what if she might have had a boyfriend? If she did, she'd tell you right away and then you can move on to the next girl and not think about her anymore.

As a girl I can say 3-4 days tops. en and women play the same stupid games and won't call right away cause they don't want to look like a loser who has nothing better to do than call you and look over-eager. If she calls after 5 days something is up. Either she has been going back and forth in her head about you or she is seeing someone and trying to decide if she should cheat. I was always upfront and sometimes it worked and sometimes it bit me in the ass. I say next time get the girl's number and call. If she is seeing someone then she'll let you know. If there isn't a ring on her finger she is available.
