Hi there.

You might be wondering why you're seeing this instead of the usual Church of Opie site. Well, I've decided to stop developing the Church of Opie site.

Why? Well, it's just not fun anymore. That's why I haven't written anything in a while. Actually, I don't think I've even visited the site in at least a week. The concept is worn out. Let's face it, it was worn out a week after it started. I should have done this months ago, and I definitely shouldn't have spent time rebuilding the site after my old host crapped out on me.

It was just supposed to be an inside joke anyway. To this day I don't know how it got to the show. But people seemed to like it, so I ran with it to try to entertain.

The main site will stay up (http://www.churchofopie.org/index.php), the forums will stay open, but I won't be monitoring them or writing for the site anymore. If the forums get spammed or anything, I'll just lock them down.

Consider the site officially dead. It was a good month, and then a mediocre week, and then a bunch of months that could only be described as "meh". Thanks for coming, and keep Opie in your hearts or risk an eternity in hellfire.
