92°F today and the fucking A/C goes out for the second time in the three years i've had it...FU!

haha. i had no a/c for 4 years in the same truck. i delt with it until my power windows went and they were stuck shut. i hete the summer..

my a/c stopped working last summer and the worst thing about it is the heat is stuck on. holy shit does it get hot in there.

My car came from California with no A/C, and it's black too. FU to the original owner for not springing the A/C option.

You really don't need an AC in some areas of California like Monterrey or San Diego.

Ya I just know someone who bought a Honda years ago... and it was a large upcharge for A/C and the car was black... and I think it had leather seats as well...

Why not trying to recharge the the AC unit. Its not that expensive to do it yourself.

get R-12 without an EPA license anymore. If the system has
a leak, you'll be tossing away alot of cash now.

Iv'e seen cars charged with propane, if you no longer have freon it's because of a leak. Propane-hot engine-bad ignition wires= BOOM

I've never heard of using propane as a refrigerant. As a fuel, yes,
but I can't see how it would work in an A/C unit. Sounds dangerous.

I have a couple customers who had cars come into their shops and seen it. Said it's one of the scariest things they have ever seen.

i drove a car for a few years with no a/c. it was the worst! i'll never get a car that doesnt have heat and a/c ever again!!!!

Just had a feeling... see above post... my car... a real cruising missle... air crapped out like 3 years ago... 350 to fix new seals... and refrigerant... craps out two years ago... want like 2 G's new compressor etc (as old compressor is non CFC freindly)... so guess who is stewing in hiw own juices now till I get a new car...

But if you did want to get it fixed umm cheap always mexico... as they still freely sell the non-cfc freindly shit down there... but ummm ur in Detroit so prob not that practical. :)

Sir since you are in Texas... and if you had a pre-what 1994(I think) car that used non-cfc freindly airconditioning stuff... like I remember in the oldern days... hey my a/c does not work.. go down to auto part store... pick up areosol can full of shit... cramed in in a/c... and hey my A/C works sweet... just wondering if you have ever been tempted or you know some one who has been tempted to go down south to get their A/C charged... south of the border sir?
