Basically I was hanging out with this girl from work. There was another girl who worked there that I learned was interested in me (if you ever read this thread, this is the 2nd one http://wackbag.com/showthread.php?t=28050)

The girl i was originally seeing was the one who told me the other had a thing for me. I guess I jumped too fast.

I really just wanted to hang out with a few people, get to know them and see if anything happens beyond that. I am really not interested in anything other than that right now.

Nothing wrong with hanging out with more than one person, right? No sex was involved.

Well, I guess that no matter your intentions, you cant hang out with two girls who know each other.

It makes both of them loose all interest in you.


Oh well, back to square one.

I don't think there was really a "friendship" between them to speak of. There couldnt have been a preemptive strike, either. Neither of them knew about the other until I opeend my big mouth. Which I kinda had to do because a third party saw me with the 2nd girl last night. :hamm:

Hmm... the mistake you made was not being honest up front. What you do next time is go to girl #1, after you learn of girl #2's interest, and start slowly, but convince her that its okay if you see girl #2. Then tell girl #2 that you want to see her, and its okay with girl #1. Then you get both. For awhile at least. And if girl #1 gets mad, you only did it because she said you could, and then she cant really break up with you without looking like a douche.

(Edited to add:)

OH!! And the initial conversation with girl #1 should include something like "well, I really care about you, but I'm feeling really restless. I don't know, I don't think I'm wired for monogamy." Then if she throws a fit, back off and try again in a few days, after moping around a lot and sighing and saying "well, nothing REALLY is wrong... I dont know... I'm just a little restless."
