i got a call earlier from # unavailable.. i pick up and its apparently an xm representative saying that my bill is out standing. which it probably was because i got a new card and i forgot to update my card to the new #. so stupid me without thinking just gives him my new credit card information and my address was fucked up on it so i gave him my address information. this all took forever cause he was a fucking MORON. and then at the end of the call i wanted to make sure that my payments would still automatically be deducted every month cause thats what i want.. he says he cant do that and i have to call the regular customer service line. which is a little weird because i do customer service for a big company and even if we cant make the changes to something, we can still see everything..

so i call the customer service # and i explained what i needed to know.. shes like ok well we have this # on file. the OLD #. im like no, thats the old # i just verified and had my new info updated. shes like well we dont see that anywhere in the system.. so now im like shit. i could have just given my information to some fucking idiot that doesnt even work for xm. i had asked his name at the end of the call so i said well does this person work for you cause he just said that my information has been updated.. and shes like i dont know that information, i can transfer you to the other department..

so i get transferred to some cunt with a fucking accent so i know im talking to some fucking terrorist towel is not a hat bitch who tells me that it can take a week to update in the system. so i explain thats fine but then i need to know that i really spoke to an xm employee so my information is not in the hands of someone it shouldnt be.. and theyre giving me a hard time. so i ask to speak to a manager but theyre all conveniently in a meeting. and now im waiting on a call back..

i would just cancel my credit card but thats such a pain in the ass cause i have pending charges i need to go through and im going on vacation at the end of this week so i NEED my card by then.. im so fucking pissed right now. FUCK YOU XM FOR NO FUCKING HELP AT ALL.

you might want to call your credit card company, and let them know... they must have a system in place to help you through this...

There is a slight chance your credit card company has slightly more competent employees. They may be able to overnight you a new card, or watch for unauthorized charges.

xm has terrible customer service but i assure you, sirius's is worse. my girlfriend originally bought me a sirius but (thank god) sold it to her friend and bought me an xm since it was cheaper. it was the biggest hassle trying to tell those assholes to stop charging her card AND her friend's card with all these weird fee's. eventually she told her credit card company & she disputed the carges.

I know credit cards are more convenient, but this type of thing is exactly why I stick to invoices and money orders. Sounds like you were scammed. I mean, this guy could update your credit card info, yet he can't put you on the same payment plan you were already on? You should call your credit card company immediatly.

As for the smoking, don't be such a pussy. :)

i think they can change your account # and ship you a new card in about 3 days. someone charged something with my AMEX #, and they took care of everything pretty quick. act fast and you may have your card before the weekend.

i signed up for a "free" account for a cam site, and damned if they didn't charge me for stuff i didn't use. I cancelled my account on that site, and they stopped.

This is another good reason to have great credit. I've got two different credit cards and a Visa check card. If something happens to one, I can close it and request a new card and not have to worry. My check card is through Commerce, and they will replace the card right at the bank. No need to wait for a customer service center to process it and mail it out.

XM customer service does suck ass. When they got rid of Liquid Metal I called to cancel one of my accounts. The cock-face with a thick accent informed me that maybe I would like some other kind of music. (No, ass-fuck, I'm a 35 year old man and I know what I want to listen to.) They sit in a cubicle with a script and any deviation from the script would violate the prime directive. They have no brain, only pieces of paper.
They're just incompetent. I still think you ought to do a shot of Jager, smoke a Marlboro and bite a stranger's face. :icon_bigg

XM customer service sucks..I called because my online acess was fucked and the guy told me that the XM offices recently upgraded to windows XP.. and I had to upgrade to window XP to get my online account to work...

Liz ive been through this before and it was hell but one thing i learned was anytime someone calls and asks for any and i do mean any info from you dont give it to them. Find oput whos calling company wise hang up and call them back with a number you know is right and finish your transaction, it takes a little extra time but it keeps things clean.
