Fuck you to people who don't return phone calls (friends, insurance agents, and apartment rental offices--to be specific). There must be some sort of returned-call shield around me lately or something. Is it really that fucking hard for some people to have the tiniest amount of manners? Here's a hint for insurance agents: if you have a company employee who is looking to switch his car insurance to that company's insurance division, don't wait a fucking week to give him a quote. You dipshits make money by getting people to buy their insurance from you, and an employee within the same company is probably the easiest money you'll ever make when the company offers an employee discount. Don't fuck around and take longer than you promised to get back to me. To people who manage aprtment buildings: empty apartments don't make you any money, fuck face! When someone contacts you both by phone and through your website, that's a pretty good sign that that person is interested in renting one of your apartments. A retard could do your job, so don't go making things so fucking difficult. Getting someone to rent your apartment isn't rocket science (that distinction is reserved for radio hosts and their sign-carrying interns and listeners). When I leave 3 phone numbers where you can reach me at any given time of day, you should have the fucking mental capacity and hand-eye coordination to pick one of them and punch the little numbers on your phone, you fucking pricks.

I worked WITH (not for) apartment management companies. Don't expect much from their employees. Especially if the company happens to be Village Green.

I totally agree with you on this one. Im an outside rep for a security company and nothing pisses me off more then when someone wont return a phone call. Then to make it worse after a few days they will call you with something that they think you have to drop everything for.

FUCK YOU.

I need to partially take back on of my FUs. The insurance people finally got back to me--but only after a week, and only after I left a voicemail asking them to contact me. On the plus side, I'll be saving about $300 on my insurance.

Now, I also need to double the FU to the aprtment people. A tenant in the complex was able to get me some information, and the rent is $100/month higher than they have listed on their web site--which makes it about $150 more than what this other person is paying for the exact same size apartment, and that lease was signed in January. How does the rent get raised twice in 6 months by a total of $150/month? Have they started giving out blow jobs to new tenants for the first year? If so, then it's worth it if the girl givng them is hot--even if it's just one BJ every week. Otherwise, this place had better start weeding out the riff raff, and fast (and yes, I know "riff raff" is a stupid thing to say, but it sounds better than "minority families of 12 in a 1-bedroom apartment").

1. Bring a print out of the web page, and ask for that rate. Do they have a rental office? Can you go this weekend? Better go soon before they realize their mistake.

2. They might be offering MEGA concessions. Call some other area complexes and ask what their vacancy rate is. If your area has a high vacancy rate (roughly 20% or higher), they'll be desperate to rent and may give you some kick ass concessions. Things like free rent for a couple of months. Would you have to pay extra for a garage? Ask them to throw that in for free. The worst they'll do is tell you "no." If you've got great credit, that helps, too.

3. Does your friend in the complex have a different number where a live person can be reached?

Apartment complexes can change their rents as often as they like. However, it is false advertising if their ads & web site are promoting a lower rent.

Can you PM me the link to the web site? I'm curious which complex and managing agent it is.
