The problem about hybrids, is they're overpriced.
You only start saving money (overall) after about 10 years of owning it.

Then again, you dont get that at all with standard vehicles.

Buddy of mine has one of those prius hybrids. he swears by it, and I've driven it, gotta say it's pretty peppy for a car whose engine you can't even hear.

It doesn't plug into any electrical source, for those who may not know. It charges internally, as the gas engine is working. Pretty cool overall.

You get a 1500 federal tax credit for buying a new hybrid and if gas is averaged at 2.50.

When hybrids first came out and gas was under 2 a gallon and no tax credit they weren't worth the extra 4 grand
