I realize that Opie is the glue that holds the show together - things would be all to chaotic without him - but his tactics seem a little hacky of late. He tried to convince the fellas that they should call Nathanel "Than" but Jim and Ant were having nothing to do with it.

The best stuff has been the ad lib stuff (e.g. Travis Tritt, the English guy from last week, when Vos or Kelley and the guys are ripping on one another). Just my opinion though.

Wow talk about a 1st post......I liked todays show I will admit all shows have there slow spots but thats ALL everybody. I'm sure at your job your not 100% hot everyday zero errors. So lets look at the posistive and forget the negitive..BTW Sonny I voted for ya and everyone at work always will support a fellow electrician what field Motor control here...

I think today was one of the worst shows in the past month. I think this search for new bits is frustrating. The best radio, to me, is the radio that isn't rehearsed and, in my opinion, the good bits are those that are also spontaneously created.

I don't know if it's Opie trying to manufacture radio gold, but the whole "new character" killer teases thing, bombs and flubs, and the TV Edit thing (even though that original Steve one was brilliant) seem very forced. They've sucked since 1998. Jim has been a horrible addition to the show. Their stuff was only edgey in the atmosphere of restraint that terrestrial radio provided. Who wants to hear something that everyone in the world can do themselves?

I thought today's show was amusing. I got on as Nervous, Unprepared Caller Guy.... My fave was Ira as Bad Cell Phone Guy. I also thought that Carlos Menudo/Menses/ Whatever the hell his name is was boring. Not every bit can kill.

Ya know, I was thinking about that, and even considering taking on the challenge, but that's an entire 45 minute segment. First of all, that's gonna be one tough motherfucker to edit since it's almost entirely 'unairable', and second, for them to play it back it's a quarter of the show. If they break it up and run commentary and replay the funny parts, it'll be more like the entire show.

Carlos is usually very funny. I've seen him do standup in person and he kills. If you like Jimmy, you'll love Carlos. He straight up doesn't give a shit about ANYTHING.

I'd like to hear some discussion on the talk about the use of the N word (******, in case you didn't hear). Personally, I wish Opie wouldn't have ducked out when he started to talk about his feelings, because I was waiting for a rant of some kind that I could get behind.

Anyway, todays show wasn't the greatest...but as has been said...a subpar O&A show is still better than 99% of everything else that is out there.
