I spilled a tiny amount of water on my laptop's keyboard and now the qweyuiop[0 keys don't work, is there anything i can do besides buying a new keyboard.

...you can take it out and try to dry it, but i wouldn't count on it. you might wanna take it out before it goes through the keyboard plate

no - the keys on a laptop are connected differently than the ones on a desktop keyboard. It is easy to get them off, but very difficult to get them back on. If you remove the keyboard, and let it sit in front of a fan for a day or two, then you should be ok.

This is my area of expertise... I spilled iced tea on a brand new lap top (twice...im a real tool)
Best thing you can do is let it dry, unplugged for a week. My computer worked fine (but the battery died... had to be plugged in all the time. and it was kind of sticky..).

I'm on my third laptop now & there are no liquids allowed with in 10 feet. Fingers crossed...

I spilled coke on my old laptop. A bunch of the keys were sticky and stopped working. I opened up the laptop, and took out the keyboard. The keys and the plastic connector pieces were removable. I washed them and put them back on and all the keys worked again.

Gotta agree that drying will probably work. My wife tried cleaning the
VCR in one of my kid's rooms and got it too wet. It didn't work after
that, but after it dried out for a few days, it worked perfectly and still
does after almost 2 years. Give it a chance to dry.
