Here I was expecting some sort of transformers related thing and it turns out even cooler than that. If it was wireless I'd be hella interested.

How long before the keys start breaking down?
That looks so fucken awesome, but considering my computer is shared between me and my two brothers, I wouldnt trust them keeping it in one piece. But still awesome nonetheless

OLEDs (Short For Organic Light Emitting Diodes) last a pretty long time. The site says there will be a "Key Saver" which probably just turns 'em off. They're starting to talk about using these in TV displays which would be great. Unlike plasma displays, they never burn-in an image and unlike LCD displays, they produce their own light. The break point in lifespan for TV displays seems to be about 10,000 hours. and OLEDS will approach this kind of lifespan soon.

I've been keeping watch on this thing for a week now. I really hope those ruskies get in gear and get a US manufacturer.
