Firefox Help

I can't figure out a problem on a friends machine and it's driving me crazy. Firefox loads in the system tray under the processes, but it won't load in the applications and the browser window doesn't appear. It's basically useless at this point.

I've tried re-installing and deleting all user specific information in the Documents And Settings folder. No help.

Any ideas??

Open up Windows Task Manager > Processes if it's running and you seen nothing and can't get it to load, stop it.

You should be able to relaunch it with no problems. Also look for Firefox 1.05

I have 1.05 installed. I've tried stopping it and re-starting it to no avail. It's also a problem for when the default browser is trying to be launched.

You have all the current updates on your OS, right?

Java did an update for me today, looked like a big one too. There maybe some virus or worm working it's way around. Run your Anti-virus, spy/malware programs and see if every thing is cool.

I think the Import dialog the pops up after installing but before the first web page windows shows up can be at fault. I just left the system on overnight and it finally appeared, I'm not sure why it happened, it was an isolated incident.
