I have a PNY USB Flash Drive, 1GB. It's not allowing me to reach the full capacity.
It get's up to 52.6 MB, with 927MB free space, and then no matter what file I try to copy over, it gives me this message:
Cannot copy patbattle.jpg: The directory or file cannot be created.
This stinks, I don't know what's wrong
It's on a Dell laptop Inspirion 600M I believe, using XP, if that helps.

is it the same with ANY file that you are trying to copy? or just a certain file?
have you tried formatting it?

yea no matter what type of file i put on it, it won't let me.
i've been trying to move 2 gigs of files, mostly word docs and pdfs over to another comp and it should only take 2-3 times of transferring.
if by format you mean delete, then yea, i've deleted everything on it and tried again.

I'm not sure if you are on a mac or PC, but if you are on a PC. You can go to "my computer", right click on the flash drive, and select "format"
there might be a problem with the file allocation (FAT) that is f'ing you up
