I emailed Steve about this but don't expect a quick reply. I'm an impatient fuck so I decided to post this question instead.

When sending audio to the show, I'm assuming that most people won't just send an mp3 directly into Steve's email box. Or do they? I'd imagine that posting the audio on a server somewhere then sending the link to Steve to download, chop up and do whatever with, and then host on foundrymusic would be the ideal way to do this.

Ok. That question asked. Here's my next one. When sending audio, what's the ideal format to send in? Do you just send mp3's or whatever format you may have recorded the audio in? I've heard that when they use audio on the air they have to burn the tracks to a CD. Isn't there some quality loss between the mp3->CD process? I can see that sending .wav files would be ideal but kind of a problem because of the potental for HUGE file sizes.

EDIT> I guess what I'm asking is. How do you send in audio (email clips or email links to the clips) and in what format do you send it in (mp3, wav, ra, or whatever)

Wow. Throwing around too many big words. My head hurts now. Must go drown myself in cheap booze.

You answered the question yourself.

Encode as mp3, attach to email, send.
