There is a lot of news about the F.B.I. doing Child Pornography stings via the internet. Yahoo as shut down hundreds of Clubs related to Teen Models and their web sites.
Ok. If you are going to do this, then stop being two sided. No More plastering the television with Specials like "Middle School Confessions", Lindsay Pagano and Mandy Moore Videos and CANCELL the Olsen Twins series.
Why? Girls appearing in beach specials (Twins) in bikinis, half dressed pop divas, Young teen girls talking about giving head and first times. all pointed at appealing the older male mind. LET'S get real. This country has a lot of nerve baiting and switching like that. It seems they are CREATING a problem, and then sending the Federal agents to go arrest people.
Does this strike anyone as being VERY hypocritical at the least? At most, being a big f'in set up? Holy s. Get a life, U.S.A.

I think you made a soild point, but the baby porn is below human, and this country never showed baby porn on television. Now, on the other hand you brought up the things they do exploit on television, and yes I do think it is hypocritical to start arresting these guys, and labeling them kiddie porn perverts, pedaphiles, or whatever. [b]But[/], in no way can you sit there and tell me what those people did is the act of a normal man. I mean give me a break, since when have women gotten so disgusting that every guy wants a 14 year old. I don't know what is wrong with the world, but give me a 20-30 year old women and I am ready to spew juice. I guess it's just preference, but the preferences of these guys landed them in jail, and maybe even has given them a prison life.
On the other side of this, I know one of the guys who was involved in this, he had his face all over Newsday, and Newsday.com. As I read the story I sat and wondered, How could he be this kind of person? I use to talk to him everyday. He was cool as hell, and loved O & A. We talked about the show everyday. Then, I see this and it makes me think that he is the scum of the Earth. Should I be that hard on him? Or do you think some of these guys should be given a break? In my mind it is a disgusting thing, I just feel it's not my place to judge. But, then I think if it were one of my kids, or in my case, one of my nieces or nephews, I'd probably want to kill him. I would hate to be the judge in this situation. I would not want to be the one to put these guys away for 10 years, just for looking at pictures. As nasty as the pictures are, I just wouldn't feel right handing out a that sentence.

Maverick, don't get me wrong, Kiddie Porn IS ABSOLUTLEY disgusting. But I believe there are also levels of entrapment. It starts by having the Olsen Twins pose in Bop, Or Tiger Beat in Bikinis which eventually make the internet and then elevates to someone taping them engaged in sexual situations. This, of course, is an example.
The example being, you start at going, "Wow, for 15 year olds, their Hot." and then maybe you'd like to see a little bit more... Before you know it your looking at Everything related to girls of this age group that you can find.
It's like Smoking. You start by having a clove every once in a while, the next thing you know, you have a 2 pack a day habit.
And that's where the hypocrisy comes from. It's almost entrapment...
As far as Pedophiles are concerned, I have to believe most of them have some deep childhood psychosis they are acting out... And rather than locking their asses up in prison where they can be molested by inmates for 20 years, I think they should be put into hospitalization. Ever think some of these people may want help, but can't get it because if they admit they have a problem they go straight to Jail? (They MUST have Material in their house, either Via Computer or Snail Mail Order...)

i don't know why the FBI is doing stings...this is all a mess.
last semester i did a paper on civil liberties and techonology and the focus was pornography on the internet.
regardless, yes child porn is illegal, but so is screening what you, as an individual, looks at. What if you just happened to be looking for a certain website and you spelled something wrong, or put in a .net instead of a .com and that put you on a child pornography website????
where do your civil liberties go?

You know what? More U.S. hypocrisy at work. They are also watching just plain old fashioned porn sites looking for other "potential" sex offenders. God bless them. We voted for these control freaks...
