So I’m sitting on the bowl reading my August 2005 issue of Scientific American Magazine and towards the back is Steven Ashley’s “Technicalities” column. This month I notice it is about the MyFi. Being the owner of a MyFi myself, I decide to skip the column altogether as I am already familiar with the benefits of owning one. After a moment though, I decided just to peek and see if the b-b-b-boys rated a mention in America’s premier scientific publication. Low and behold, there were their names after Howard Stern’s name of course, but there all the same. In a short paragraph about content, Mr. Ashley had this to say.
“If National Public Radio, shock-jock Howard Stern or all Elvis all the time is your thing, you might want to wait until the end of this year, when the first handheld, Sirius format radio is expected to arrive. XM features NPR refugee Bob Edwards, Major League Baseball, wild men Opie and Anthony, and a premium Playboy channel Your choice.”
At least Scientific American’s readership will be aware that the boys are now available on XM satellite radio even if they’re not good enough to be included in XM’s own advertising.
The August issue is not available electronically yet, but will be soon at www.sciam.com
I’m just sayin’…..
