i feel the same way opie did yesterday, i just don't understand the punchline at the end.
The first time I heard about the joke, the punchline was explained thusly:
Its not about the fucking punchline!! Its supposed to stump you!!
Its about THE TELLING OF THE JOKE. Its also used to tool on new guys because they have a tendency to laugh at the punchline cuz they think that's supposed to be where the laugh goes.

I don't see why. This is the very thing O&A talk about all the time. Dirty isn't funny by itself. Being shocking isn't funny by itself. Sex isn't funny by itself. It has to have some true comedic value to it.

The reason why O&A is 10 times better than Hoo Hoo, is because they are truly funny. Not just doing sex bits because it's sex. They do a sex bit because they can make it funny.

The Aristocrat joke doesn't have any comedic value at all. O&A's initial reaction yesterday after hearing the Cartman version was the way they truly feel about this piece of shit concept. Today was lip service being paid to a guy who was in the studio.

So...I heard Phillips taking calls yesterday. There was a call about a guy who got his stomach stapled, then they had a guy call in and give a quiz to the show members, and "Ol' Overcooked Asparagus Legs" got the high score.

I really want to see this movie as well. The setup and punchline is the same, but it's how awful the comics make the middle of the joke that counts.
