BOSTON WOW Motorcycle Run ?

Ok Wack Baggers from the Boston area, As I mentioned on the air the day after my AOTM in Salem I wanted to possibly get a Boston WOW motorcycle run together. This is my first official mention of it on Wack Bag. com and just for now I would like your input. This thread is basically to find out just how much intrest their is for this.
Just an Idea that I was tossing around for the run was having it a cobination WOW and poker run ? We could call it Anthonys wild poker WOW run or something stupid like that. Before I go on a tangent though I want to find out what the intrest is going to be, their is no sence to bbutt (put) all this effort in if their is only a hand full so just reply if your interested, thanks, Steven from Salem aka meat tits/ Sonny Forelli

I would be interested in the motorcycle ride... from where to where are you thinking about riding? I've done some poker runs but they have been up in northern NH. The NY/Philly run was nice because it ended at the club. This run would have to end in Providence to be somthing similiar (if you were heading down that road, no pun intended).

I dont really know what the plan would be, but their would have to be some participation from the show ie maybe a live broadcast from somewhere the bikes could be staged from such as a resturaunt or some local buisness that would want the publicity.
The other Idea would be, if it were a poker run then half the proceeds could go to charity or to the Wack Bag Pat Battle Fund for future Attacks ? Now do I have anyones Attention ?

Although I am not a motorcyclist, I would gladly follow behind in my car. A Boston-Hartford trip would be about the same time/mileage as the NYC-Philly one. I'm guessing Boston-NY would be too long for most people, unless it was a Boston/Hartford/NY trip over 2 days of festivities...

Someone with good organization skills and more experience at this should invent a good idea, hoo hoo.

Your last remark is well into consideration especailly where it wont be starting at the studio its going to take MORE Organization than the last run. The good thing here Is that Im an older fella in my late 30's and I own my own buisness so if their is enough of a demand for this then I will put in my time, of course with the help of other people. So far the "Idea" isnt taking off like I thought it would but the thread is still young. Hopfully I will get more of an Idea after the weekend . Come on Boston Bikers ! I know your out their !

well ive been listening to the show since it came on last year and have been reading the message boards for a few months, but this is the first subject ive felt the need to contribute to. you regular wackbaggers are god damn hilarious, but i mostly just read over things and laugh my ass off at work. but i love riding, and love the show. this seems like a good way to show support.

with that said, im still in on the motorcycle ride if we can get something organized. there have to be more people who ride bikes and listen to the show that live in the NE area...

Besides for the fact that Hartford is just really easy for me to get to actually being there it is right in the middle of O&A's two biggest markets, Boston and NY, which might help incread the number of people that will be there

I was just being a silly goose, but perhaps a 2-day event wouldn't be that bad. We could leave the starting point (NY or Boston) around late afternoon/early evening, get to Hartford, and organize some sort of event, perhaps an evening at The Brew Ha Ha (http://www.citysteam.com/comedy.htm). Then off to the other location in the morning.

Brew haha is a great place...its only a couple of blocks from where I work so if this actually turns into something I can try and figure some stuff out for people

Well their resturant area is any age...the comedy club itself is 21+...we could always do an event there in the resturuant and then move to the comedy club for the 21+ later on

Im not so much against the brew haa haa but their would be some problems making it a two day event. I think what ever is done in the Boston/Hartford area should be done in one day for starters. If these motorcycle runs get bigger for the O&A public then I would be more inclined to go with the two day thing. Just my opinion though. On a personal level I have about 100,000+ miles on a motorcycle so distance int really my concern. The reason though I could not make the NY run was because I am not a morning person, shit it takes alot out of me to just get up for the show on time.

Now thats a good Idea, now I can even put a twist on that, Incorperating a poker run. This is how I think it could work, First haveing some sort of starting fee, say like 20 to play, then haveing two moderators/Dealers from both sides deal out 2 cards to each person/ Then half way through to Hartford have O&A Do the Three card Flop, Then when the bikes get to hartford do the next card then at the end of the show have the river dealt. Keep in mind that this is just an idea? The winner could walk away with alot of $ and the remaining proceads could go to whatever ? Just some ideas

We dont have to go to a comedy club per say...I could always look into where else there is that could be reserved. And if people wouldnt mind paying for a place we could rent out a place somewhere...and then maybe move to the comedy club later for the 21+

I drove into the city for the Philly run and now that the Commonwealth of Pa. says I can ride again(and a shitload of people have been tring to get me to come hang in boston for a few days) I would be interested in comming up and taking a ride with the group either from nyc or ride up to boston a few days early and ride from there

If looking for a decent place to eat with a good bar, Coaches is a great spot and not far off of rte 84. It's a few blocks from the Civic Center. Coaches has killer buffalo wings too!

Yeah...coach's is has a lot of great food...plus they do allow anyone in there especially during the day

Ive been their , but it looks like this bike thing might not happen due to the lack of intrest, at least not this year unless more people start comming out of the wood work. The other thing I havent done yet was posting this message in the other message boards, that might help.

I know I can get more people, I just would need a confirmed date. Some of my fellow pests have golf tournaments coming up. And I work for two touring auto racing divsions, so a lot of weekends are booked.

Plus if a date is set, O & A can promote it on the show, like Keith The Cop did. That's where they got the big push, on the air.
