I really think the boys should try to get an interview with Bruce Dickenson. After hearing him bash mtv/vh1 and american radio at ozzfest in columbus (he said they arent played on american radio stations because they refuse to suck corporate cock like our bands do...) I just gained more respect for him than I have ever had.

I love maiden, and I think Bruce is a very intelligent guy who has a lot to say and is not afraid to speak his mind, and it would make for some interesting radio, and the O&A show would be best because he can really go all out and im sure with the knowledge of music the boys have they would ask some really interesting questions and then just let bruce go off on everything. just my opinion.

anyone agree or am i the only one who can see this being interesting and entertaining?

I totally agree. Dickinson would be an interesting guest and I'd be pumped if he was on. However, I don't think the show how a chance in hell to book him.

I've heard that too. Definitely not as nice as Dave. He is tough to interview because if the questions are half-assed it gets ugly. I seen him do a quick interview for Headbangers Ball while on tour a few years back and he was a complete prick, with good reason. The reporter was clueless as to who he was dealing with. But according to most reporters in the industry, this is representative of the standard Bruce attitude toward the media. I think that's Sherwood's point here. It would be fun to hear Bruce and the fellas interact and exchange opinions. He is equally opinionated as they are and I'm sure good times would be had by all. At least I'd hope.

I respect Dickenson alot, he is an amazing artist with amazing talent and an amazing voice.

I think the media makes him seem like a bigger asshole than he really is. He upsets one person from the media and bam all these negative reports. Hes probably just sick of the same questions that are asked alot in interviews and I am sure the boys would completly go a different direction and ask him questions that would blow him away because he wasnt expecting it. So if the boys happen to stumble across this...UP THE IRONS!! We want Dickenson

I actually heard it from someone who worked at the stadium at the time, said he was pissed about something and went off on everyone who was looking at him.
I understand being pissed about dumbass reporters that waste their time. I still like him and think he was an excellent replacement for Paul DiAnno.
"and if Bruce Dickenson wants more cowbell, then we should probably give him more cowbell"

Replacement?!? He was an original band member, DiAnno was a replacement of Dickenson...Dickenson re-joined the band in I believe 1999

no

The Beginning
Iron Maiden had twelve different line-ups in the 1970s, paying their dues on the mostly punk club circuit in London's rough East End neighbourhood. Although Iron Maiden were a metal band influenced by Deep Purple, Yes, Wishbone Ash, and Black Sabbath, the earlier music had undoubted punk overtones. Original singer Paul Day was replaced by the outlandish Dennis Wilcock, a huge KISS fan that used fire, make-up, and fake blood on stage. Neither vocalist possessed both the stage presence and vocal ability to take the band to the next level. This changed in 1978, with the addition of Paul Di'Anno at the helm, and Doug Sampson on drums.

By the way, this is great dvd for all you Maiden fans...and clears up a lot of the confusion with this sort of stuff--it's very easy to get confused with who was a part of maiden and when...it also includes tons of great live performances...peep it:

No, DiAnno was on the first 2 (Iron Maiden & Killers) Bruce joined on Number Of The Beast.

Sorry this was all waaaaay before my time (born in 84...) and on advertisements for ozzfest they say Iron Maidens "original" lineup that probably confused me a tad bit...

either way though I think Bruce is way better and alot more entertaining. Anyone have Tyranny of Souls? Great album....

I remember seeing them at Jones beach back in 03. He trashed metallica for suing their fans and told everyone to dload all they want. He also bashed Tommy Hilfiger, if i remember correctly were "I cant believe Iron Maiden, one of the biggest metal bands in history, is playing at an arena named after a little foo foo faggety fashion designer"

I totally remember that shit. I was in the 6th row for that show. Wasn't Nicko also delayed for supposedly "hitting" a parking lot attendent with his mercedes at the Theatre gate because he did not believe he wasn't a part of the band and wouldn't allow him through?

Yes, yes he did. I remember that very well. It was a gentleman of the golfer variety watching the door. I know damn well that if that was fifty cent or some other rapper that golfer would have let him in no questions asked even if they werent spose to be performing that day. I then went and saw them a few days later at MSG, and the Jones Beach show totally blew MSG away.

W/ their booking talent I think the boys have a better chance getting Kirk Cobain on the show.

I am one of those people who doesnt give a shit about what stars say or do. If he is a dick, so be it. I enjoy the music.
