Nah gettin too old to get the energy up to go to shows, but I saw DEVO on the 'Freedom of Choice' tour, and it was one of the best, certainly one of the most unique, shows ever.

The show rocked. Musically there are at the top of there live game and I recomend seeing them. The drummer got injured (Burnt his hand) and ended up concluding the show with one hand drumming and one hand in ice.
The most disturbing thing is seeing those skinny young good looking men turn into fat middle aged men.
Still the show was worth it.

Yes, he's done a lot of commercial, television show, and movie work since Devo slowed down. I saw them at Lollapalooza back in '96, and they rocked enough for me to look past the fact that they really shouldn't wear the skimpy running shorts and tight black DEVO shirts. I recommend the 3 DVD's of live shows and videos currently out. Duty Now!

Yes. They also did alot of early stuff like Blockhead, Freedom of Choice etc...

Hard to explain DEVO in 2005; they were very new, almost scary in a way, the very early stuff I'm talking, the first album; the little movie with the General [Mark's dad] and Boogie Boy; and when they appeared on SNL [or was it Fridays?] it was actually frightening for this teenager.
The first and Duty Now! are great, but I think they topped it with "Freedom of Choice", now If I could only Not hear 'Whip It' ever again I would be happy.

A victim of collision on the open sea
Nobody ever said that life was free
Sank, swam, go down with the ship
But use your freedom of choice
I’ll say it again in the land of the free
Use your freedom of choice
Your freedom of choice
In ancient rome there was a poem
About a dog who found two bones
He picked at one
He licked the other
He went in circles
He dropped dead
Freedom of choice
Is what you got
Freedom of choice!
Then if you got it you don’t want it
Seems to be the rule of thumb
Don’t be tricked by what you see
You got two ways to go
I’ll say it again in the land of the free
Use your freedom of choice
Freedom of choice
Freedom of choice
Is what you got
Freedom of choice!
In ancient rome
There was a poem
About a dog
Who found two bones
He picked at one
He licked the other
He went in circles
He dropped dead
Freedom of choice
Is what you got
Freedom from choice
Is what you want

I had to resurrect this thread. It appears Devo has been reborn as teens with a hole on lead vocals:

I'm not sure if I should be:
a) dissapointed
b) resigned to the fact that this act is the ulitmate in de-evolution
c) creeped out
