I like listening to liberals who can clearly address topics, like Mark Marron and Brother Weaze have discussions with Jim and Anthony. It's interesting hearing many "liberal" opinions the guys who consider themselves to be conservative actually agree with.

This is great radio for me - I am remembering back to when all this happened. I would go in to work early (to a job I fucking hated, and I am not a morning person) so I could leave earlier, come home, and drink beer on the porch listening to these guys.

Look I have been a loyal fan since the NEW days. I have emailed O&A a few times but never got into this whole MB thing. Point is I am concerned. I unfortunately agree with a lot of what Allen said today and I am surprised if I am the only one. To the loyal army - I am loyal also, I just miss the slumber party, sex in the offices and the 55-gallon challenges and the shock.... which YES did make up a big portion of the old show and is what made the show good and diffrent. I know - O& A are trying to disassociate them selves from the shock factor as being primary on the XM O&A show. Well am I the only one that sees this as a bad thing? I do not think they are as interesting with out the shock - they kind of start sounding like all of the other shows out there. The reason I listened to them is because they were different than any other show out there. I am starting to think maybe I should check out Howard when he goes to Sirus because he probably is going to do the expected thing unlike O&A. I paid the 7 cents a minute and I am paying this XM monthly sub - thinking I was going to get the old O&A back and for a while Opie said Hang in there - Now he is saying the show has no intentions of going back to the shock - what the hell! I'm also a long time listener, and to be honest I don't miss the 55 gallon drum challenge. We actually have exactly the same thing still going on with the guys doing the electronic mouse trap shock treatment.

The point they make is that there is only so much "shocking" stuff that can be done. "I've done it all" is actually probably true, although he sure as shit didn't invent it. What do we want to see next? An excution? (Well, actually that would be interesting and may be the way for Opie to decide to retire.)

Having said that, I do like the "sexiest state", "in my pants", etc. type things so I'm not entirely disagreeing with you. But the "shock jock" stuff can only go so far and just being uncensored won't allow them to do things that are really out there. They've gone far enough in the past, I think...

Well the shock stuff never impressed me, it was always the talk. The only time I really enjoyed the shock jock stuff was when they did the big events like homeless shopping spree, sex for same, voyeur bus, etc. The ones that took up the whole show.

But that cutesy little "I'd like f her in the c" was never really that interesting. I just like the straight forward talk laced heavily with comedy. And when they have comedians (ones who can improvise) in the studio - that is the best.

I think that, even if they wanted to do those things, the fact that they are on in mornings makes it much more difficult. I think that being on during afternoon drive allowed for more of a "happy hour" atmosphere than morning radio does.
Not only that, they might want to stay on the air for a while, not as long as Imus but at least long enough to be victorious in the Hoo Hoo war. Maybe they have some things in store when they get back from vacation and Jimmy's in LA. (You expecting Vos to add witty banter every day?)

I hope the worst ofs are good. NOt one fucken worst of hour repeated all day and all night long. This should have danza, Wheelchair Fred, Laidy Di (if there was a funny appearance on xm), Tippy Tom, The time that guy went and played that piano downstairs, etc.,..

So if this question is coming a little late in the thread I understand but are the boys gonna be off next week and the week after that and then be back live on the 5th? Someone on page 5 said that ron said he would be in the studio a few times the week before him and fez debuted. So that would still give the boys a 2 week vacation. A week I can handle but 2 when they don't have that much in the way of worst ofs can be hard. Hopefully someone can fill me in on this lol suck if my next chance to start a thread is gonna be the 7th.
